So I have two female house bunnies that have recently been bonded (under a month).
Both are neutered and both are under 6 months.
Daphne is the top bunny and Phoebe is her companion.
Today I have noticed that Phoebe is a little ‘off’ as in a little quieter (not charging up the stairs following Daphne). Daphne appears to be bulling Phoebe a little today, no fur pulling or fights have broken out but a little chasing and a lot of Daphne trying to mount Phoebe. I’m anxious as both are going into boarding over Christmas (we are going to Scotland and can’t take the bunnies with us as where we are staying have a house full of cats that like to hunt).
Is it normal for females to have the odd days of being more dominant than normal?
I’ve given Phoebe a thorough health check, lots of poo’s in her abdomen & gut, lots of gut sounds, no pain on abdominal palpation, normal temperature, good appetite, clear sounding chest and good strong heart beat. So I doubt its due to ill health.
