        Hi,

We were peering at our rabbit’s mouth/teeth and noticed some pink gum-like protrusions on both sides. Not sure if they’ve always been there?? We adopted him 14 months ago. He’s been to the vet a few times; his last annual checkup was only a little over a month ago, so it seems unlikely he would have developed anything since…

Do the more experienced among you know? We’re looking at the pink gum area next to his teeth. If no one knows/thinks it looks suspicious, we’ll certainly reach out to our vet.

        Thank you!

Are you talking about the pink “bump” that is protruding? Bunnies have extra, uh, “flaps” on the sides that sort of fold in over the space between the incisors and molars. You can see them when they open their mouths wide.

Just going by the picture, that looks pretty normal to me. They do have more gummy flappy parts in their mouth than we do.
