Moshu is suffering from bouts of GI stasis. It began with diarrhea had now changed to GI stasis. I am really worried about her because I am away from home for more than half of the day. If needed, I might leave my job for her (if my supervisors do not cooperate with me and give me leaves). It wont be an easy thing to do but losing Moshu would be worse.
Anyways, she’s on Metoclopramide, Ranitidine, Simethicone, a few ayurvedic tonics and probiotic powder. She’s not recovering too much. I am not sure if she’s deteriorating further. At the moment, she was hopping on the bed and ate some alfa alfa pellets. (she aint even smelling the timothy ones).
Back to the point, I am giving her every possible medication that comes under the standard procedure for GI stasis. One thing that still remains NSAID. I will order meloxicam online tomorrow since I am at work and cannot visit the vet. It will be delivered to me in 2-3 days. I somehow managed to get hold of Tramadol. I read good reviews about it but this link (LINK) says that it might cause GI disturbances and loss of appetite. Is this true?
Should I give some Tramadol to her till I receive my order of metacam ?
