Felt like sharing pics of my bunnie’s litter box. The litter box discussion come’s up frequently, so I figured I’d post my pics. ANyone else have pics/ideas to post?

I use a 9 gallon mixing tub that costs $5 from Home Depot/Lowes. It’s roughly 28 inches long, 18 inches wide. I put in an extra large puppy pee pad with 3 of the sides folded in. Then 2 scoops of wood pellets. (Wood pellet debate aside…) Then the grate. It’s a 4 ft long fluorescent light diffuser that I cut to size (1 will fit 2 of these litter boxes). It cost $12 from Home depot. So $6 per litter box. Then I fill it with hay. I decided to use the grate because Morgana and Avalon shred their puppy pee pad every day, and Guin and Lancelot spend a lot of time hanging out in their litter box. To change the litter box, I have been cleaning it once a day. I grab the 4 corners of the pee pay, lift the whole mess up and toss in a grocery bag, carry it outside, and hold onto the pee pad, and dump the rest of the contents in the compost bin. With the grate – I think I’ll try dumping the pellets from the grate into the tray, topping up with fresh hay, adding a scoop or 2 of dry wood pellets, and then every second day tossing out the contents. It needs to be a combination of clean, odor free, and convenient.
