I have read many a time on here about fluctuating hormone levels post neuter.spay. Perhaps that is playing a part ? How recent is recent ?

Hopefully others may have some experience with this.

once we moved into our new house + after my boy got neutered he wouldn’t binky and he was just very…..cautious about everything. eventually he got over it! you just have to give him some time.

My first bun Kai was active like your before the neuter. Afterwards he became more “chill” which I viewed as depression. He eventually perked up a bit but I think it is just his personality to be more reserved. Even after bonding him to a friend, he remained the same. I wouldn’t worry about it too much unless if begins to effect his eating or bathroom habits. I hope this helps a little!!

It can take 8 weeks or even more for the hormon levels to even out in a boy.
Just make sure that he’s not in any pain by monitoring his eating, drinking and pooping. Does he come for nose-rubs and pets on the forehead? Rabbits can need quite some time before they feel that a new environment is safe.

My bunny Bam doesn’t binky a lot. They don’t absolutely have to binky to be happy. He flops a lot and loves to be pet, but is too lazy for binkies, I suspect. Some buns are just the laid-back type.
