  I have a couple issues with Gigantore (indoor rabbit) regarding moulting. Last year he was still a bunny and growing so moulting wasn’t as big of a deal, he was always shedding and regrowing as he grew in size. Now that Gigantore is about a year and a half with winter approaching he is definitely doing a crap ton of shedding. That being said:
  
  What does everyone use to brush their rabbit? I have tried pretty much anything I can get my hands on and NOTHING grabs hair. Flea combs won’t even move loose hair. The only thing I’ve ever found that’s remotely helpful is a lint roller. The sounds startles him when unrolling it though and I can use 10 sheets that are completely matted and due to his size there’s still TONS of loose fur. And he won’t sit still long enough to remove it all. Any tips? Water on my hands doesn’t remove much either because he’s so large.
  
  Does any’s bun change temperament during colder weather? He seems to be less lovey and much more laid back and it has been this way since he started moulting last week. Is this “normal?” He’s still active, just not as energetic. He will still chase our cat around the apartment.

  What a coincidence i was just about to make a new topic for tips while shedding ! I use the rubber brush that you can wear as a glove , and oh my god it works like a charm. Heres a link to the brush.

  My bun also seems to be sleeping a lot more and just seems lazy. Do you have any tips for avoiding gi ?

  He might not like it, but I’ve heard that horse grooming stuff works well for shedding. You could probably use either a fine curry comb or a shedding block might work! There’s also metal shedding tools that we use that I find work the best, but again, they’re made for horses so they might be too rough on him.

  If youre gentle enough nothing is really rough for them. The one i showed you is the one that i have and its quite soft and she doesnt move while i do it. Rubber brushes are the best for shedding season !

  As for the change in temperament: many bunnies become slightly grumpy during a heavy shed. They can be more prone to gas during a shed. It’s like they’re extra sensitive during shedding.
  I use a furminator and a self-cleaning brush and lint-rolls.

  Furminator works great on short hair. I suggest the cat sized Furminator for your bun. You have to be careful as it can overgroom and leave bald spots.

  Furminator is also the only thing that worked so far for my bunny too. Than again, even the vet said he never saw a stranger moulting bunny before but it definitely is moulting.
  
  P.S. First time my vet mentioned furminator I thought he was kidding because of the name. Lol
  
  And yes Gigantore is awsome name!
