Im trying to teach my bunny that it is not okay to jump up onto my bed and desk. She has gotten big enough to where she can jump up on my bed, poop on it, then jump to my desk knocking everything over and eating flowers and things Im scared will make her sick! Its very frutartnig because I have to move stuff around all the time to make it so that she can’t just jump up. But I’m tired of putting a basket on my bed and moving my chair across the room. I want to train her that this is not okay but how do I communicate that? Will she understand a little bop on the nose or just take it that I’m hurting her?

How do I train her that jumping up there isn’t allowed?

You can’t discipline a bunny. Put her in a cage for a day. That should make her/him learn. If she does it again say NO very firmly and put her in a cage again. Our little Koton learned that it’s not ok to chew on bean bags or to eat the carpet. They’ll learn the word no fairly fast. Whatever you do don’t hit them or be rough with them

We’ve been teaching Willow that the bed is off limits as well. I have a litter box right next to the bed. Since bunnies hate being picked up, I just used it to my advantage on this. When Willow got on the bed I’d pick her up and put her in her litter box.

If I’m not going to be in the room for awhile, it’s in my best interest to close it so she can’t go in because she isn’t completely trustworthy. She definitely things it’s kinda of a game to get on the bed and when I see her binky off it and jump into the litter box. so though not exactly teaching her not to go on it, she seems to not be potting on it so much, since she is more caught up with the being caught on the bed game.

For us that is pretty good, since when we first got her she really wanted the bed as her first choice potty place. Now the litter box next to it is being used and I’m down to every few days getting a poo or two in the bed instead of every waking moment of Willow
            .

Our koton runs around the living room binkying all over the place pooping from excitement. And he is me and my girl walking around the apartment picking it up like dumbasses lol simply saying “thank you for that gift koton. You’re so kind” lol

At least it’s not the other mushy grape like type of poop. I can’t imagine that. At leaSt he does that one and pee in a cage. I actually feel blessed since he’s not neutered yet.

I’d be concerned if your bunny has mushy poops Koton.

Josephine likes to hop on the kitchen chairs. Once one was pulled out and she was on the kitchen table pushing stuff off. The only solution was keeping the chair pushed in ! I’d suggest keeping your desk further away from the bed. Mine don’t have access to my room or bed.

Thanks Mimsy! That seems like the best way to go about it. I’m guessing after repetitive action she’ll get the idea that those areas result in being lifted off the ground!

@bunluv they’re not mushy. He drops 2 types of poop, daily its hard round little cocoa puffs, once a week it’s his second type of poop that looks a thick string of blackberries. I did research on that and it’s perfectly normal. The second type is from his other bial intestinal organs or something along those lines. Don’t quote me on the exact wording guys.

@Koton those are cecotropes, your bunny should eat those. if you are finding them often it can be sign of something being up, like the diet is too rich.

@mimsy, he does eat them, although sometimes he doesn’t which I figured is fine. And those come out maybe once a week, 2 times at absolute most but that’s rare.
