        Hello everyone!

So, I made a post on this forum earlier, but for some reason it never posted… So I’m back trying to post it again. I’m going to try to include more info in this post, so hopefully the earlier post no longer gets posted. But if it does, I’m sorry for the repeat post!

I recently got a bunny named, Bun Bun, for my birthday late last month. I’ve had him for about three weeks and when I got him his nose was already dirty and so were his feet and I wasn’t too worried about it. However, I’ve recently been googling things about dirty noses on bunnies and I’ve started to get worried. Other than his nose and feet, Bun Bun seems to be completely normal. He eats, drinks, poops, pees, binkies, runs, all normally. Maybe he’s just good at hiding his discomfort, but I hope that there’s actually nothing wrong with him…

I’ve attached pictures below of his dirty nose. I’m just mainly looking for input of more experienced bunny owners since this is the first time I’ve owned a bunny and I just really want to try my best to give him the best life possible. I was thinking that maybe his nose is getting stained from the pellets or hay since he has white fur. I was also thinking that maybe it’s from him cleaning his face with his dirty feet all the time that’s making his nose dirty. Sometimes his nose does seem a little damp though but other times it feels dry… So, I’m not too sure how to go about this.

I’ve also noticed that the upper part of his fur on top of his nose is also slightly stained yellow. It isn’t bright yellow, but it is clearly a little bit darker compared to the rest of his white fur.

I really appreciate all the help I can get! Thank you!

The pictures are a little dark, but I’m fairly confident that the “stain” is his natural coloring. I can’t see the rest of him but he looks like he has a very muted broken harlequin pattern (with lots of white).

It looks like natural coloring to me too. He looks like a harlequin judging by the pattern on his ear. He’s absolutely adorable.
My Yohio has a sooty nose, see pic above. (It’s not soot, it’s natural coloring of course.)

Agree with the others. Looks like natural colour. Adorable bun!

Yep, I too think it’s natural coloring.

What would be a problem, would be a nose where the fur under the nostrils were gunky looking indicating that the nose was running. Bunbun’s nose looks soft and dry in those photos.

i would assume it’s natural colouring, unless it comes and goes or something
