  Hello! I have a question regarding timothy and alfalfa. I have two bunnies (3mo and 1.5year~) and they are always together. I recently moved back to university and so their pen has shrunk (4×3 grids). Splitting them would make their individual pens too small.
  
  I understand that alfalfa hay is beneficial for young rabbit growth so I would like to ask if it is OK to keep them together in the day (both feeding on timothy hay), while splitting them at night so that the baby can have some alfalfa hay + pellets. I don’t want the adult rabbit to feed on alfalfa (I understand the health risks).
  
  PS: I understand the risk of keeping a non-spayed bunny with a spayed one. I will hopefully be spaying her once she reaches (4-5mo)

  My rabbits did fine on just Timothy hay when they were little. I offered the alfalfa when they were little but they didn’t like it. It wouldn’t hurt to not feed the alfalfa hay.

  oh okai sounds good! Just making sure because I want them to be less lonely all split up while I’m in school.
