My bunny is kind of a grump, but about once a day he demands some attention. I recently adopted him, but what seems to work best for us is me laying next to his open x-pen and doing my homework. Sometimes he just does his own thing, but when he hops over I making kissing sounds and pet him.
When I do this (if my face is close enough) he likes to lick him on the cheeks, chin, and nose. Sometimes, if I’m on my back he likes to climb up and lay on my chest and lick my neck and shoulders. Needless to say, I love this.
But it occurred to me today that he might be ingesting some of the stuff that’s on my face. I don’t wear a lot of makeup. I’ll wear BB cream sometimes and I always wear sunscreen, but I never wear heavy foundation etc. Still, it doesn’t seem like my bunny should be eating sunscreen…And then when he licks my chest sometimes I also have sunscreen on there and occasionally I’ll be wearing perfume.
Is this bad for my bunny? Do rabbit tongues even pick stuff up like that?
I always have something on my face even if it’s just a moisturizer. After years of battling with bad skin it’s a habit for me to wash my face and wear moisturizer. But I feel like even that wouldn’t be good for a bun. Help!
