Oh yikes… I’ve had 4 litters with my bunnies before I got them fixed. Get dad out of there… He won’t be good with the babies. He’ll see them as competition once they start exibiting hormones – and they are at that age. The young males will try to mate their mom. Once your buns are spayed /neutered, if you want to keep all 12 together, you will have to rebond them. Dad will forget who they are very quickly. The babies will also forget each other very quickly. Keeping bunny families together is difficult. I took the young out when they were weaned (2-3 months), and Guin was constantly hanging out at the closest side of the aviary (where she use to stay) to where her sons were living. So I thought she missed them, and put one back in with her after 1 week. She attacked him. It’s definitely time to separate your kits, and get the lot fixed. Do you plan on keeping all 12?
My pair are on a 4-week hiatus. I suspect she just felt too comfortable in their bonding area, and claimed it as hers. So a hotel room (very soon) should be neutral enough to give it another go.
