  They can upset the digestive system for sure. If your bun is on abs and is exhibiting signs of GI upset (like less poops) you should ring your vet.

  It’s often a good idea to include a probiotic, like Bene-Bac Plus, when giving antibiotics. It helps to keep the stomach flora at a normal level. Bene-Bac Plus comes in a large syringe, ready to go, so there is no mixing.

  I have gotten Bene-Bac from the vet whenever one of my bunnies was prescribed an antibiotic. I think there are probiotics sold in pet supply stores. I don’t know if they are Bene-Bac or some other brand.
