Okay so I was wondering about all these supplements that I’ve seen going around for buns. I wanted to know if they are necessary, or if I should even bother.

Anyone know much about these? If I should give them to my babies, which ones or whatnot. I can’t seem to find much information about them anywhere.

Ive never used the supplements so I don’t believe they are necessary. Unlimited hay is best for your buns. Bunny food isn’t necessary of what I’m aware but my buns definitely love their food, and some fruits and veg are edible for buns (you may have to be careful though as some buns are very sensitive) I know some people also keep baby gas drops to help with any stomache troubles.

Oh I’m aware of the basic diet.My babies get pellet food, unlimited second cut hay from this year, and fruits and veggies. Both have iron tummies, I got really lucky for that, and I keep a bottle of gas drops in my fridge.

I was just curious about those vitamins.

Well I’ve never given them to my buns and my vet never recommended them so I don’t believe so. I think it may be like vitamins for humans. Some humans (or bunny slaves in our case) need vitamins to stay healthy, some take them just to be safe, and some don’t take them at all.

Ive been giving my 12 year old rabbit the senior support supplement, and I think they help. also I know guinea pig owners who give the natural science Vitamin C supplement. If you have the extra money to spend I figure they can’t hurt. So I just give them because I can. I think its really up to you.
