We have a bunny, S’mores, that is about 8 months old and we have had her for 6 months. A few days ago we took in a stray rabbit that’s about two or three months old. They have interacted already and the new bunny Oreo really likes S’mores. S’mores isn’t aggressive towards Oreo but is still getting used to not being the only bunny. We haven’t been able to get them to interact more because since Oreo was a stray he/she has fleas and has had a runny nose and a lot of sneezing these past two days so we don’t want s’mores getting sick. It’s too late for the fleas. Oreo is going to the vet tomorrow. The problem is that since we got the new bunny s’mores seems to be getting jealous of the new bunny. Whenever we are defleaing Oreo, s’mores runs up and climbs into our lap to be petted. She does this even if we just sit next to Oreos cage. She has also started to chase us around and tries to bite our feet until we pet her and follows us all around the house trying to get our attention. Even if we sit and pet her for half an hour it’s not enough for her and she starts nipping until we continue petting her. I don’t know if this is normal and if it will stop once she gets used to the new bunny.
