I am attempting to bond my three bunnies. Two of them, Sherlock (2yrs) and Simba (10yrs) are already bonded. My third rabbit Benny is a Flemish giant and is just over a year old. We just moved into a new apartment in Seattle and they are all living in Pens in the spare bedroom until they are bonded. Simba is the most troublesome bunny (she was troublesome when I tried to bond her to Sherlock as well) but I think i can manage her. Maybe. I thought I’d try to keep track of my progress so if I become discouraged I can look at how far I’ve come and feel positive about it. I have tried bonding the trio in the past with no luck. I’m
Hoping the change in scenery will aid my success. The first day I tried to bond them was not a total failure but it could have gone better. Today was an excellent day. We started off on the dining table to ensure stress (Ben and Sherlock are extremely comfortable and it’s hard finding a stressful environment), moved to the kitchen floor and ended up outside. Today we spent 3-4 hours bonding them and I was pleased with the results. Sherlock and Benjamin spent very short periods snuggling and had really no negative interactions. Simba, however, becomes pretty aggressive when either of the other bunnies gets excited and sprints and so she would chase them trying to nip at them. Despite this, there were no brawls, all fur was left intact and I am a happy mother.
