  My male dwarf lionhead, Babi, has a white cyst on his left upper lift on the inside.
  
  I have already made a morning vet appointment for him this coming Saturday. I just saw this today, when he was flopped. He definitely did not have this a month ago, when he was last seen by his vet. He also only has that single cyst on the inside of his upper lip, not anywhere else on his body. He’s been his usual self: eating tons of Timothy hay, munching on his morning pellets and his dinner salad of arugula, baby kale, cilantro and/or baby lettuce. He’s quite active as usual. He is pooping fine. He’s not showing any signals of pain or distress from what I’ve observed.

  I have had him since last summer. He’s roughly a year old. He was neutered this year. He also had a severe case of molting/shedding due to being underfed pellets. So the vet gave him Revolution that we administered at home for 3 weeks and increased his pellet intake. His fur has grown back thicker and lusher, and he gained back his normal weight of 3.1lbs.
  
  Sorry for the unnecessary details, but I am really worried. Has anything like this happen to your bun?

  I’ve had a rabbit with a dental abscess but not this. It’s good you are taking him to the vet – let us know what the vet says.

  Yeah, that’s why I’m so worried. Because I’m pretty sure it’s not a dental issue since his teeth looks fine and he’s eating fine. I could be wrong though. And I will let you guys know as soon as I find out.

  My bunny Bindi has several cysts on his body but they are all under the skin. I can just feel them. They are benign and I keep an eye on them to make sure they are not getting bigger.

  That’s really good that they’re benign. Does he feel any pain or discomfort? I wish you and your bunnies the best. Thank you for your thoughts.

  No, they don’t bother him at all. He has one right below his ear and 2 along his back. The ones on his back are very tiny. Like the size of a pin head. I can see where a cyst in the mouth would be more bothersome than Bindi’s.

  I was thinking of that, too. But he seems to be eating fine. He never refuse any kind of food: hay, greens, treats and pellets. Then again, bunnies are good at hiding pain. I am just praying that it’s not life threatening.

  After seeing the tiny pimple growth inside his lips, the vet just told us to watch for any changes like crusting, bleeding, increase in size, etc. The vet wasn’t sure at first so he called on another vet (both are bunny savvy), and they both think that it might have been just an irritation like canker sores. They said that it’s nothing to be worried about since it does not prevent him from eating normally. They said to see if it heals within 3 weeks, and if not, I can give them a call.
  
  I mistook it as cyst, when it’s actually more of like a pimple coming to a head or like canker sores. Sorry about that Good news is that Babi is eating and behaving normally without any sign of pain. And I did not see any changes to the growth ever since I first noticed it.
