My boyfriend and I are going to the beach in a few weeks and have decided to let his mom be our cat and rabbit’s pet sitter since she works near our house so she could just stop by after work for a few hours and feed them and check on them. Jude usually gets his pellets in the morning and veggies at night, but I am working on transitioning him to pellets and vegetable both in the afternoon so it won’t be so weird when he gets fed at the time she is here. She knows not to pick him up at all (he really freaks out so we just gave up on “getting him use to being picked up” because it stressed him out too much. We leave Leia and Jude completely alone all the time and they never fight or even really acknowledge each other at all. Even when Leia is being playful and is playing with Jude a bit, he lets her know if she’s being too rough but she doesn’t even use her claws when playing with him or us anymore. Jude is more sassy than Leia and sometimes chases her but that’s the extent of their playing. We usually leave Jude to have the entire run of the house but he never leaves the living room (not sure why, I guess scary new place) but we’re going to limit him to half of the living room so he doesn’t destroy the house. I am going to already have his vegetables for each day measured out and in baggies so that all she will have to do is put them on a plate and give it to him and there is a measuring cup for his food in his food bag. I have bought a few things from the binkybunny store to give him things to do to keep him busy while we’re gone, I bought the tunnel haven, nifty gifty, sea grass bowl set, and willow wreaths with foliage. I also am going to make sure to stock up on bananas because just the scent of a banana will drive Jude nuts! Bananas are his crack. If he doesn’t run around looking for the banana and doing binkies and eat the banana, there is something wrong. Anything I’m missing that I should tell the pet sitter?
