Hi, I am new here and sort of new to having rabbits.
I have a holland lop named Ted who is about a year and a half and has been fixed for about two months. I have had him since september of 2014, he is my first rabbit and over all pretty well behaved. Especially once his hormones evened out, he never has accidents around the house.
About a week ago I adopted a spayed female bunny who is about two pounds bigger than him and about a year older. When they first met they were snuggling and grooming each other. Now that we have started bonding he chases and tries to mount her, and I let them work it out usually. However tonight he did that and she tried to get away and he started to fight with her. I got them apart right away. However he bit her and broke the skin right under her eye. I would call a vet’s office but it is after midnight.
I was wondering if there is anything I should do to the cut? Or anything I could do to help her. I have given her veggies and she is in her own space and he is back in his. I just don’t know if I should clean the cut and if I should what I would use.
Any advice from people would be great. He bit me once when I gave him medication after his surgery and I know how much it hurts so I’m worried.
Thank you
