We loved you with all our hearts! We will miss you always.

When you first came to us, you were very cautious, you didn’t like us picking you up, we learnt quickly to be patient with you. We would sit with you and watch you, oh my you were clever! You were the bunbun to figure out all escape routes! The first time you escaped I searched the neighborhood, even the gully. For HOURS! I was distraught!! I called Dad in tears telling him you were gone.. when I happened to look up and see you sitting outside the fence eating dandelions in the sunshine like all was right with the world! Lol. You escaped many more times after that, but always came home! Still, I never stopped fretting about you during you absence, but I did learn to have faith in your abilities and love for our home.

(Your human brother Coby, 9yo) You were so much fun Baxy! You always came up to me when I went outside. I loved getting home from school, opening the cat door and you came running up for pat’s. I’m really sad you are gone. I love you buddy! 

I hope you know how much you rewarded us honey, you honestly filled our lives with joy. Whenever you bounced up to dad and I, and let us pick you up for endless cuddles… I’m in tears right now because I know what that means… you loved and trusted us.
