Lump in my rabbits neck? please help!

  I’m freaking out, please tell me this isnt life threatening.
  its not a hard lump so I dont think its a tumor.
  
  However, I think up til today I just thought this was fat but I realized that one side of my rabbits neck felt bigger than the other side. the lump is around the side of his neck area. It feels like a cyst, like a fluid in a sac. i searched online and it said it could be an abcess? Im not sure if it is but i feel like i need more opinions. He hasn’t seemed off lately. Hes been eating and pooping normally. i just dont know what could have caused this. Recently he had mushy poops and i reduced his pellet intake a lot and just give him timothy hay. So i guess it could be stress related from a diet change? Or im thinking, the vet injected the same areas with fluids around a month ago. Maybe bacteria got in along with the needle? Who knows.
  Hes also a dwarf mixed with english spot. If that helps.
  
  Any opinions? Ill check it more tomorrow again just to make sure im not freaking out over nothing. I really hope hes okay

  I think this would be a case for a good, rabbit-savvy vet. Rabbits are prone to abcesses and they can be tricky to get rid of permanently. It may be from bacteria having hitched a ride into your bunny’s skin when he had the sub Q fluids. These things happen even with good hygiene. What did he have the sub Q fluids for?

  Sounds like a possible abscess. You will need to have a vet take a look. It might need to be surgically cleaned/removed.

  He got the fluids injected because he had mushy poop. The vet said it was to restore nutrients if he lost alot whole having the mushy poop.

  I don’t think anyone could give you a good estimate other than the vet once you speak with them and also all these are just possibilities so having the vet do an actual physical exam is the only way to know what it could possibly be…and we have no way to know what the vet will diagnose and recommend.
