My bunny, Luna has been shaking her head a lot, scratching her ears a lot, hiccuping often, and recently seems withdrawn. She also had this mysterious “zit” bump on her lip. It must have popped itself because it’s just a little circle now but I just don’t know if that’s normal.  She just doesn’t seem like her happy, bunny self so it’s makes me sad and worried.

I took her to the vet today just to make sure everything is OK and $150 later my vet said she seems fine. She couldn’t give me ANY explanations or advice regarding her behavior or symptoms. None.  This vet is supposed to be really experienced with bunnies too and she did Luna’s spay back in December, which went wonderfully. She just said it could possibly be an inner ear infection and gave me antibiotics for Luna.

So, I thought I would reach out here and see if anyone has any advice or similar experience.

        Thanks!

That sounds really frustrating. I don’t have experience with that type of thing. But maybe she ate something that upset her stomach?

Yea, it is frustrating. I don’t know if it’s possible for bunnies to have food allergies but I’m thinking of not giving her any banana at all to see if that helps. We usually give her a tiny bit everyday as a treat so maybe that could be causing some issues.
