We’ve had Flynn for almost a year now, he’s about 16 months old. Noggin is nearly 6½. Both buns are fixed. Sometimes they are very sweet together, grooming and cuddling, but other times Flynn just seems so mean. He chases her around and bites her butt (sometimes even pulling out chunks of fur). Or he’ll come up to her and shove his head under her stomach so she runs away and hides in the litter box. We had them free roaming but the chasing was constant, and if Flynn wasn’t pestering her, they were sleeping in separate areas. Now they’re in an xpen and they groom and cuddle much more often but he still bothers her. It seems almost like he’s trying to play and she’s not having it. They don’t fight over food but, if they think they’re getting some, Flynn is all over Noggin making sure she’s not eating something and he’s not. But, once they have their food, they happily munch together. Other than food jealousy, the behavior seems unprovoked. Why is he doing this? Is there anything I can do about it?
