  Alfalfa hay is not recommended for adult bunnies since it’s very rich. It’s good for young, growing bunnies though and you can use a little of it as a treat for an adult bunny. Since it has lots of protein you can give a bit less pellets on days when you give him the alfalfa hay as a treat.
