  Today I got my approximately 8 month old dwarf lionhead spayed. She’s eating her hay and her greens perfectly fine in addition to drinking water from my hand instead of her bottle.
  The only thing that i am concerned about is the pain. Usually when she goes to sleep or relaxes she kicks out her back legs and front legs, laying completely on her stomach on the floor. This is the only way she can sleep and since being spayed it is causing her discomfort. When she goes to lay herself out, she does so for a second before pulling herself back up into a sitting position. I know this will take time but I wanted to know if there is some way to reduce this discomfort. Seeing her unable to sleep in her favorite position without being in pain makes me really upset and its hard to watch her. Please give some advice. Id really appreciate it.
  
  Note- i have tried a thin towel and blanket but she ends up getting frustrated and starts to bite it and try to remove it.

  If it is any comfort to you, it sounds like she is actually having a pretty speedy recovery, already eating and drinking.
  It is hard to watch, but you can expect her to have a little discomfort for a while. Did the vet send you home with pain meds? If not, you should try to get some as pain management is crucial in recovery. You can try giving her a warm water bottle to snuggle up to, warmth may help ease the pain a bit.
  Has she pooped/peed yet? Does the incision look inflamed at all?

  Everything looks fine to me! She has been pooping and peeing totally fine! The vet said he gave her plent of pain killers after the surgery but none to take him. He said they were not needed :/ that sounded a bit strange to me but when I woke up today she was laying on her belly so I think thats a pretty good sign!

  I’m glad your bun is making out well. Some vets don’t give pain meds. I think this is very unfortunate since a spay is a pretty major surgery.
