Hi. I have for bunnies: Caramel, Bertie, Flower, and Vanilla. Caramel is Bertie and Flower’s mum, so all three have a very happy, bonded bunny family. Vanilla, on the other hand, does not have a good relationship with the other three. (BTW, all of them are spayed and neutered. All are female except Bertie). I have to keep the Caramel family in one enclosure and Vanilla in another. Bertie and Flower have occasionally gotten out into Vanilla’s enclosure, and although they chase her around, scare her, and pluck out a bit of her fur, they eventually leave her alone. On the other hand, Caramel is very aggressive towards Vanilla and has injured her multiple times. She’s even scratched Vanilla on multiple occasions and bit her ears twice. This has happened after Caramel gave birth! Formerly, Vanilla and Caramel got along fine and were bonded bunny babies. Their relationship has just spiraled downwards since then. Caramel is even aggressive and Vanilla is extremely submissive. Caramel has since then only groomed Vanilla or not hurt Vanilla when she was in distress, such as when my friend’s dog got close to the hutch and started barking. This has happened twice. I monitor them as much as I can, but my dad has relocated them to an air conditioned bunny hutch separate from our house. This summer, b/c I graduated high school, I’m looking to try to bond the four buns together. I’m going for using the car rides thing and using the bath tub as a place to reintroduce the buns. Is this possible to bond all four? Any tips with how to bond the four? Is it too dangerous to try to bond Caramel and Vanilla?
