About a week ago I moved back home for the summer, and of course brought my bun along. He’s been home with me a few times before, and is a very good car traveler, he’s never been jumpy after a trip.
Today I had just finished getting ready to go to lunch with a friend and I stood up off my bathroom floor, walked into my room and Aladdin absolutely lost it. He was racing around, thumping, and cornered himself in his cage. I tried calming him down but he would let me get nowhere near him. I went to lunch and when I came back he was in ‘bunny flop’ position, but the second he saw me he repeated the behavior from earlier. This time I got into his play pen and was able to coax him into relaxing, but again the second I stood up he freaked out.
I tried giving him his favorite snack (parsley) but he wouldn’t eat it right away (he did right before I began typing this). I sat with him once more and he came out and hopped around me, but freaked out again when I brought his water bowl back from filling it up, and after this freakout he came back out and bounced around me, put his paws in my lap, bumped me with his nose, and even laid down (but not flopping like usual). I’ve turned off the lights in my room so it’s now partially lit buy sunshine through my curtains, I’m also playing soft music because I’m hoping it will help if it is an external sound, as it was dead silent as he was freaking out.
I was wondering what this could be? Is he sick? Something I couldn’t hear outside? A little more info on Aladdin, just in case it’s relevant; he’s 4-5 months, un-nuetered (I’m planning to this summer), usually very calm except for this incident, he seems to be eating and drinking normally (but I was not hawk watching, as nothing seemed to be wrong before today)
