As you may remember, we’ve been wanting to get a friend for Puck for some time. Initially we got Theo, a french lop who should perhaps have been named General Woundwort. After many attempts to figure out what was causing him to be so aggressive, visits to the vet and many many many conversations with the breeder, it was decided that he was way beyond our ability to handle, and the breeder suggested we brought him back to her. It was a difficult decision and I felt like I was giving up on him, but I know that it’s the best thing for him; by the end of it we couldn’t even let him out to play without risking life and limb
The breeder offered to let us have another kit when the litter was mature enough to leave mum, but in the meantime, we discovered an adoption charity and met (and fell head-over-heels for) this handsome little fella:
His name is Harry. There’s not a whole lot we can be sure of (age, breed etc) because he was simply abandoned (rather than surrendered properly
) but they thought that he had just reached maturity by the time he was out of quarantine since he suddenly took to spraying… everywhere. There had been a lot of interest in him because he’s got a very sweet personality (and frankly, look at him, he’s gorgeous) but people were put off by the constant spraying. Which is silly because he’s been neutered all of about two weeks, and he’s stopped spraying!
And actually, that took less than a week.
There will be more pictures to follow, but it’s hard to get him to stay still long enough!
