Random question for AH (or anyone from Aussie). Are a lot of Aussie guys very tall? I mean the band members of 5sos are very tall and they are from Aussie. (One of the members is 6’4″!!)

I feel like I am cheating responding to this thread on April 30th.

Oh gosh Moxie, I don’t know – every male I know is mostly average height with a few exceptions being a bit shorter or taller….

What is average height over there? 6’4″ is pretty tall for over here. Even getting to 6′ or 6’1” is an accomplishment for a guy. (My brother is like 6’1” while I am only 5’4”)

I have no idea, ha ha ha! I am not good at measurements and we do cm’s here….. let me look at my license to see how tall I am.
My license says I’m 160cm tall – though I’m wondering if I’m at that age where I am starting to shrink??? Lol!
And every guy I know is taller than me. Actually, everyone I know is taller than me – doh!

So you are like 5’2” inches? I just did the math and I am 162.56 cm’s.

6’4” would be 193.04 cm’s. Does that sound like the average guy over there or is does it sound tall?

I am told I am short A LOT. My older sister is like 172.72 cm’s (5’8”) so she pokes fun at me sometimes lol.

I just asked the hubby – he said he’s just under 6 foot, he’s 178cm and I reckon he’s average height….

AH, I’m the same height as you I’m just below average height at home, but in Canada I’m seriously short. My friends say that I’m “portable size”, and I’m used to people thinking I’m younger than I really am because of that. It doesn’t help that I have a small frame either. My boyfriend, on the other hand, is above 190cm. We make an interesting couple!

Before I hit 40 I was seriously tiny and used to buy clothes off the rack and then had to pay to have them altered to fit – I hated it!
Then I hit 40 and my waist (tummy) expanded – BUGGA! I wouldn’t have minded if my chest did too, but NO! Lol!
I get called short on occasion, and have never indulged in wearing high heels – I still don’t own a pair! I am so comfortable with my height, when I put a pair of heels on I felt really awkward and uncomfortable – maybe I’m used to looking UP to people??? Ha ha ha ha!

It’s still April here, too! And 6’4″ isn’t *that* tall…that’s how tall I am…

Poor Fíli. I noticed the other day he had some bumps on his skin, but they didn’t seem to be bothering him so I let it be. And then yesterday I was petting him and something POKED me, and I looked and at least one of the bumps had turned into a scab. I think they were maybe abscesses from fighting with Pippin. Of course I tried to separate them whenever they were, but I didn’t notice any broken skin so I thought I was doing okay. Guess not. Anyway, Fíli has to go the vet for a post-adoption checkup on Saturday, so I will have the vet take a look and make sure there is nothing serious. He is running around and eating and drinking and pooping so I am not too worried, but I feel very guilty that I let that happen.

Nora, as long as they all look like healthy scabs I wouldn’t worry. My buns always do that when bonding. They nip at each other or pull fur & sometimes they get the skin even without barely touching since it’s so thin! My vet wasn’t concerned when Tucker had a few on him after bonding with the others for awhile.

My Apple Watch came today! I loveeee love loveee it! Although I’m still trying to really figure it out.

I’m so excited — I’m going to Southeast BunFest in a few weeks! I have made so many friends through rescues across the US while helping w/ the Bunderground Railroad. I made the decision to fly down to join in the fun of a ton of my friends who go. I know people who are flying in from all over the country for it!

Hmm, I’m 5’8″ or something like that. My husband is always making sure everyone knows he is 5’10.5″. He’s not much taller than me. I always liked taller men, but my husband got the wrong set of genes. His dad is 6’1″ and his brother is like 6’3″. At least he isn’t his cousin. He’s kinda short. LOL I did sort of notice that when I worked with someone from Portugal. He said he knew he was small here, but in Portugal everyone was “his size”

I’d be useless with an Apple watch! It would probably take me forever to tell the time…. LOL!
I’ve had my iPhone for years now and I still can’t do anything but text on it, ha ha ha!
Oh! and when it does an update, I panic and it almost has me in tears…..

The search for a rabbit sitter/boarder is still ongoing. We’ve decided that we’re going away sometime Mid-June. I finally got around to calling my vet but the woman who answered the phone knew of no places. Her suggestion was to try looking on KSL (website similar to Craigslist). Nope to that!

I did find an Exotic Vet that does boarding. It’s an hour away but I’m going to try and see if I can look around their boarding area and talk the workers since the person I talked to wasn’t really involved in the boarding area. She could give me the basic details but not much else.

Quite a few other vets do boarding. Most vets around here who see exotics also see dogs and cats and all the places that offer boarding would have him boarded in the same area as the dogs and cats. I’m not ok with that.

There’s also the petsitter that comes over. I need to email her and get some details with that.

One of my neighbors that we’re friendly with has a daughter who is around 13-14. I was thinking of asking her if she’d be possibly be interested in sitting. She seems responsible and what teen wouldn’t like to earn some extra money? There’s also one of my mom’s friends who has some older kids. The mom is great but I don’t know any of kids at all so I’m more iffy on that choice.

I also plan on asking my Grandma if she’d be up to sitting Tribble and Ox. She’s been having a lot of problems with her hip so I’ve been hesitant to ask her, but Mom seems to think it’s the best option. It would be the cheapest option, that’s for sure! I do trust her completely and if I gave her a detailed list of Ox’s care then she’d do fine. Plus, Tribble absolutely adores her. She’d be over the moon if she got to have a week of Grandma time. lol

Whew. That turned out longer than I thought it would. haha. I’m keeping it though. It’s helping me organize my thoughts.

Gosh MissG – GO Grandma!!! The best part about Grandma – you don’t tend to worry. I never worried when I left my kid’s with my mum or my pets with the hubby’s mum…..
And as I always say – what’s the point of going away and trying to have fun if you have to worry. So NOT fun!

AH – I know that pain! I buy stuff when I go home because I don’t have to alter it as much as here. Still almost always need to alter my pants. Hems at the bottom and taking in the waist, since I have some nice hips and the waist always ends up too big for me. The worst is that dresses rarely hit where they’re supposed to. And I love dresses! And I only wear heels for dancing, since it helps me spin better. Not on a daily basis.

LBJ – Yup, Portuguese people are on the short side! I think 170cm is average height for guys, 162 for girls. I felt like I was in the land of giants when I arrived in Canada

MissGabster – Good luck with getting a bunsitter. I’m lucky that one of my friends really likes Chester and usually just moves in to my place when I have to go somewhere. Have you tried contacting local shelters for help? They might know of qualified people that could help too.

I’m supposed to be packing for Florida right now. I have a 10k race in the morning with just enough time after to come home, shower, and drive to the airport! I NEED to pack. But I.don’t.wanna.

I used to be 5′ 6″ tall but have compressed to 5′ 4″ I think. Pants that I wore a few years ago are all way too long now.
Hubby is 6′ 2″ tall. The men in our family have all been 5′ 11″ (my son and my nephew) or over. The women all tend to be short. Other than my grandmother who was around 5′ 8″, I was the tallest before I started “compressing”.

Had our first BBQ of the year today. Didn’t invite anybody over just us. We had cheeseburgers and chicken thighs.

I want to go to bunfest! There are none around me. Make sure to share piccies TL!
I am actually considering buying an apple watch. Do you find it laggy at all TL? A lot of reviews have said it is but from what I have seen there is little to no lag (either that or I am just slow?).

Thanks for the reassurance about Fíli’s bumps. I took a closer look today and one of them looks like it is pushing out a clearish shard of something. It’s hard to explain! Anyway, that’s making me wonder if maybe it is something else besides just from Pippin’s nips. I’ll be glad to get the vet’s opinion tomorrow for sure. Also the poor guy is molting but I can’t brush his back half because of this so he is looking quite scruffy!

Yep, AH, I do wear heels from time to time, but mostly I find them uncomfortable so am happy to stick with flats.

Ugh, its may where has the time gone too. I’m having problems trying to find a job since graduating with my associate’s degree to the point of thinking of opening up my own business even if its not in my field!

Nora, ick that almost sounds like a human white head, but not a vet or anything just going with what it sounds like.

I am going to be glad when we schedule the bun princess spay here. I’m the one who is being nipped and licked at the same time, I don’t know how the bun manages it but I feel special just not when little teeth are nipping on my arm, the kisses on the tip of my nose I can handle. She’s figured out how to jump on the couch in the den so I get in the face bun time and my fiancee laughs when he is in there and sees it.

BubblesJo: The shelters around me don’t get many rabbits, so I’m not sure if they’d be very helpful with suggestions. I could still try that, I suppose.

Andi, I LOVE IT. You can set it to just the numbers instead of the clock — so you’d be all set. As long as you can read numbers. HEHE.
LEL, no lag that I’ve noticed. The ONLY problem I have had so far is getting Siri to acknowledge you are telling her something. With the iPhone when it’s plugged in, you can say “Hey Siri” and she is supposed to answer w/out having to touch the phone. The watch is the same but it hasn’t been acknoledging when I say “Hey Siri” so I’ve been having to press the button on the side of her to ask what I want, haha.

MissG, where do you live? Since doing my blog I’ve connected with a TON of rescuers in tons of different places, internationally as well. Perhaps I can see if I can find someone close by or in the state that may have ideas on where you could get pet-sitting or a reputable fosterer from!

I will definitely keep everyone updated on how fun Bunfest is & what happens! I’ve met so many wonderful rescuers from around the country that are going so I’m insanely excited to meet everyone in person! I’m nowhere near close to this Bunfest. I’m in Pittsburgh, PA & it’s the Southeast Bunfest so it’s in Florida! I’m flying down the Friday before and staying in the hotel they are using for the weekend. So excited!

Sounds good TL. I’m not horribly concerned with siri, I actually find her rather irritating, except for on my phone I have it set as a Australian man’s voice which I don’t mind I think you have to raise your wrist before saying “hey siri” if I’m not mistaken.

I think I have finally gotten to the point where I am not horribly behind in everything anymore, which is a relief. Over the last few months I have become extremely unfamiliar with free time as well as sleep so I am so glad I am back to this where I can spend the whole day on BB with no horrible adverse effects. Ha ha ha.

I went to a huge farmers market today. I had no idea carrots came in so many colors. Let’s just hope the bunnies don’t mind purple and white carrots.

JR – I think my dad is “shrinking”. I KNOW my father-in-law is. LOL

So Fluffy, what’s your degree in? Sometimes there are degrees available, but not a lot of jobs to go along with it.

Wow, it is so eerily quiet around here today. Hello? Anyone out there? LOL

I’m actually supposed to be “cleaning”. Well, organizing is probably more like it. Someone is coming at the end of the week to install something and, well, there are a lot of papers sitting on the table and desk. Of all things though, my husband is more worried about the toilet. He wants to put the box that our freezer came in over the toilet so no one will know it’s there!

LBJ — your toilet just keeps getting better and better! Put the box over it, but what if one of them needs to go?! How do you respond when they ask where the restroom is? “Oh, its right there in that box. Just put the box back when you’re done.” Or better yet, what if *you* have to go?! Picturing this … . Hubby lifts box, LBJ drops trow and sits down, hubby puts box over LBJ, LBJ knocks on box when done, installers stand by with jaws touching the ground….!!!! If hubby was on the ball, he’d have the hole cut in the upstairs floor and you could just head right down the slide into the box and onto the toilet! You could even have a rope hanging down to pull yourself back up when done!

Took Fíli to the vet yesterday, and she said it was definitely from Pippin bites! She actually said it before I even asked. Anyway, she thinks most of them will clear up on their own, but there were two big ones on his back that were more infected, so she cleaned those out and gave me some Baytril for him. They had to shave around them so that I could keep it clean (using diluted iodine), and it looks SO bad! But he doesn’t seem too bothered by it. Running around and binkying. I have to take him back next week to make sure it’s all healing as expected.

LBJ10- my degree is in healthcare administration services and honestly since I graduated last september and have been looking that long, I’ve come to the conclusion that while there are jobs out there in my degree, they all need two years of experience or more and I cannot find anyone who is willing to take a chance and give me the experience I need.

JR – Fortunately, I won’t be here. I’ll be at work. LOL But I’m assuming he will disconnect the toilet before he puts the box on top. It’s rigged up with a garden hose right now because there is nowhere to put pipes (no walls). So if the technician suddenly needs to pee, I guess he’ll be doing it in the bushes! I guess that’s one way to keep people from using your bathroom. When we had someone here working on the basement wall several years ago, the workers were in and out of our bathroom like a revolving door. They peed all over my toilet seat too. I actually found that really rude.

Nora – Poor little Fili. =( Hopefully everything will heal up okay and he and Pippin can live happily ever after.

So Fluffy – I see, yes that seems to happen a lot too. The market becomes saturated with newly graduated candidates so employers start looking at people with experience first (less training they have to do). I know it sucks. I’ve been there. Well, I’m still there. I have a bachelors degree and I had to take an internship so I could get relevant experience. I don’t get paid very much and I feel stuck now. I’ve applied for countless jobs and no one will even give me an interview. =\ You might try volunteering to gain some experience. It’s difficult not being paid, but if you can get your foot in the door that way it might be worth it.

My advice for the job post graduation is to go for internships. I find they are much more willing to take on unexperienced graduates and in many cases they turn into full time jobs afterwards. Another good idea for healthcare administration is to look into ERISA jobs (compliance, litigation, or management). You could also look into the newer healthcare firms coming out and that are then setting up companies for success under the new ACA as well as ERISA. That is where so many new healthcare jobs are, and there is so much money to be made.

True Law Bun, although it doesn’t feel very good to still be making $10/hr when you graduated nearly 5 years ago.  You got to do what you got to do though. Hopefully I will have my masters soon. I’m not in healthcare though. I think what you suggested for So Fluffy is a good place to start.

After 6 days of having to pick him up 3 times a day, Moshi sat still and let me put his eye drop in this morning and this afternoon! I didn’t have to pick up the bunny! I’m so proud of my brave little boy!

I ran the Pittsburgh Half-Marathon this morning on only 3 hours of sleep! I’m so excited & proud — last time I ran 2 hrs, 47 minutes, & 17 seconds. This year I ran 2 hrs, 19 minutes, & 5 seconds! Feels amazing to have beaten my past time by so much! I’m exhausted though & my knees ache! I came home & slept until 4pm. I got no sleep b/c Simba stopped eating last night. Had to get out the meds & sub-qs. He was fine by this morning thankfully though!

TL — Always happy to help LBJ with decorating suggestions.

Glad Simba is better. Hope your knees feel better. If I ran that race, I doubt I’d have any knees left!

Uh, yeah, the toilet thing. JR likes to tease me because the only toilet in my house is one that is sitting in the middle of the basement with no walls around it.

Wooly was “ripe for the picking” tonight, meaning I was able to easily snatch him. I wanted to get this mat off of his butt for awhile now, but he has been absolutely refusing to let me touch it. I managed to corral him on my lap and snip it off. Then I brushed the rest of him out. He was grunting the entire time. LOL Silly bunny. You know what was funny though? He was lounging around afterward as if he felt cooler and more comfortable. I actually witnessed him flopped out on his side. When he saw me, he lifted his head for a second, then he stretched while still in the flop position and rolled over onto his tummy with his hind feet sticking out behind him. I was squealing with delight! He doesn’t care how cute he is though.

My this month resolution is catching up to May chat! Honestly I have missed all the chat thread ever since I joined here. I will try keeping up to it. Some how I already feel far from catching up hehe

Andy, I dont like wearing heels too and I don’t wear, only few occasions and I own only ONE pair. When I do wear them I mostly will be sitting or standing..No walking thank you very much!

Poor Fili, but glad its nothing serious. ohhhh so is that what it was? they do this while they bond??? I notice Bacci smelling Toki’s *ahem* part and Toki doing the same. Although even when I put it in words it doesn’t look like they were simply sniffing they kept circling around one trying to get top of another and at the end they get tired and lay flat next to each other.

Yeyy Grandma! Andy someday it would be us and our kids saying “Oh I don’t worry much if its our mums….” I once let my mum bunnysitting Toki and Bacci. They adore her. My mum have no limits when having fun with bunny, she  would just lay down on the floor, then Toki and Bacci will come running and jump up and down next to her and sniffing kissing her hand. And eventually they will get tired and lay next to her. Toki at times jump up to her lap  how come he never does that to me!! mum even sing songs to them hahah

Its still not great but at least I have some options and more than I was thinking with both doctor’s and dental front office worker. Thanks for the information. Its been a long day here with some human set backs but the bun is doing good.

In fact, we are calling about her spay in the morning since the fiancee has two days off in a row, so since the vet wants to keep an eye on her overnight, we can do it wednesday and pick her up thursday and hopefully that cut down on the poop war on the sofa.

TL, congrats on your time! That is pretty awesome

My plan gets me running 10K today, so that’s going to be interesting. At least it’s sunny and warm outside. We had a meeting with a nutritionist as a part of the fundraising help group last week and I learned a lot about what to eat before and after a race. I was surprised to learn you’re supposed to always eat something within 20 minutes of finishing a race. I tried it after my last practice and it worked like a charm, no sore muscles

I’m mopping my floors and I need everyone to come over and blow on them – they are taking ‘forever’ to dry!!!

AH — that’s why we have a ceiling fan in the kitchen! In fact, we had them installed in just about every room!

We are having ceiling fans installed when the electrician comes to do the kitchen. Till then…. it’s people power if I want them to dry any faster than they are now! Lol!

The race went okay MegaBunny–I couldn’t run the whole thing. My allergies and asthma just make it so hard to breathe outside!! I can do 8 miles on the treadmill but only about 3 outside!! I’m going to work on it!

We are currently on vacation in Florida. Spend 12 hours at Universal Studios. I’m sitting on the couch right now but I swear to you it’s moving; my body is still on those rides!!!

Okay, I really need to figure out how to get this stuff on video. So I had a banana in my hand earlier and Leopold came flying over. He was trying to bite the peel, so I said he could have “a bite” of the banana. The little turd was trying to snarf as much as he could in two seconds flat! Then I offered some to Wooly and he just wrinkled his nose and backed away. I opened up the dried banana treat bag and Wooly started going bonkers. He happily gobbled a piece of that down. What the heck? o_O

TMS — I just finished my last exam for the semester! I hope you did well. A lot of times I feel it was hard but I’m pleasantly surprised by the results.

LOL, the box is to HIDE the toilet from the cable man. For some reason, JR thinking it will turn it into a little port-a-potty. I have the funniest visual in my head now!

I made some progress yesterday and today. Mostly yesterday. I sorted through all of the madness that was my thesis, combined with various other misc. items. I still need to tackle the dining room table. Where the heck did all of this stuff come from? I guess that tells you we never actually use the table. =\ Tomorrow, I want to take the buns’ stuff outside to wash. I want to have everything spotless in there before the kiddie slide FINALLY migrates into their room. Yes, remember that kiddie slide I stole from the neighbor’s curb? *sigh*

Tell your hubby that the repairman has seen worse. Our neighbors have toilets IN THEIR YARD as decorations. lol

MissG – Yep, it’s the only one in the house. My mom keeps asking why my husband doesn’t just put the toilet back in the bathroom. I keep having to explain to her that the sewer stack was removed and the new one will not be in the same place. My husband wants to flip flop the bathroom, switching around the placement of the toilet/sink and the bathtub/shower. So the toilet can’t go back upstairs until the shower in the basement is finished. Otherwise, we would have no way to take a shower. =\

Stickerbunny – Haha! Yes, I’ve seen those. I actually thought about doing that once, but only because I wanted to piss of the neighbors.

Hawaii? Heck yeah! I’d go. But someone would need to buy my plane ticket. LOL

Not going to ask what you do if you suddenly have to “go” while in the shower or right after stepping out . . . We need to have a talk with your hubby about priorities because there are some things a girl should not have to run naked across the house for…. ! LOL!

Megabunny: I think its a false alarm. Everything back to normal now. She doesn’t try to make her nest. hehe hormones kicking in LOL but thank you, appreciate the thought very much. 

My mom is terrified of flying, so I wasn’t on a plane until I was an adult. If we went anywhere when I was a kid, it was always by car.

I’m equal parts terrified and amazed whenever I fly in an airplane. The scenery is so beautiful when you’re so high up.

I am so far behind on BB that I don’t think I’ll ever catch up!
As far as the planes go, I’ve effectively never been on one. I was on one when I was about 10 months old, so that doesn’t count. Other than that, I ran a flight simulator at an airport when I was about 7 and managed to crash into the runway on landing. That’s why you should not let children fly planes. lol

Tokii – I’ve been gone through it, but just wanted to let you know I read up on your pregnancy thread; how stressful! I know you love your buns, and I’m glad to hear that it was a false pregnancy.. although I’m sure the babies would have been adorable little balls of insanity.

MissG – I am so confused by your picture on the outhouse comment.. Why is there a lady playing piano? If that’s in your outhouse, it’s got to be the biggest fanciest outhouse of all time! lol

May? Good grief this year is going so fast. I have some bunny friends working on a wheelchair for Pascal. I am so lucky to be connected to such awesome individuals. Ken already has the prototype coming together, I have to check out harnesses this weekend to see if they can be modified to attach to the crossbars. He has not been eating well so I am starting cc supplements to make sure he has a full tummy. A lifetime on anti inflams could play havoc on his innards and my vet is insistent to the point of obsession, that I monitor his food intake. I LOVE MY VET.

MB–I would drive 7 hours to hug Gus!! And a Pete and Tilly Bonus!! Ahhh! If only my hubby would play along!

CT: The picture I posted was of a cardboard outhouse that looked like the traditional wooden outhouses. I feel like I should take the photo down if people are seeing something different.

I didn’t fly on a plane until I was about 12. I adore flying, it’s the best feeling ever!! My best memory flying is when we were flying at night the first time I went up. I looked out the window after we got past the cloud layer, and say the big dipper. It looked so close I felt like I could touch it. So cool! We flew about 8 hours altogether when I went to Kauai last fall. Just make sure and bring gum if you are changing sea levels. Your ears might hurt. Oh, and don’t watch Lost before you go flying

Gosh guys, busy, busy! Thank goodness today is Friday! And I’ll have to go back and have a catch up, I missed out on so much and I hate it! LOL! The hubby had a day off work and we went suit shopping – talk about painful, ha ha! We were trying to be sensible and buy the one suit for 2 wedding’s – Den’s next month and then the daughter’s next year, and it had to be to her standard (meaning NOT ‘old man’ looking) with him walking her down the isle…. and as always the way, we bought it from the ‘last’ shop we went into! But talk about a bargain, everything was on sale except the tie, yay!
Then we went back to the shops this morning before the hubby had to go to work to get his shoes and your not going to believe it??? I got my outfit for Den’s wedding, YAY! And your definitely NOT going to believe this…. my outfit was cheaper than his!!! Double YAY! Ha ha ha!
And I have safely stored both outfit’s in Blair’s room – I think his room is the ONLY bunny ‘fluff’ free room in our house! Good grief!
I am so pleased that is done – I have been stressing over this for forever! And WHO get’s married in Winter??? Even though my outfit is long, I am still worried I’m gonna freeze my little butt off??? Bloody Denny! Lol!

Oh! And have I mentioned we are BROKE $$$? I can not believe how much this is costing us to attend a wedding??? And I still have to hire Blair a suit (I am hiring his because he is short and wide, the alterations would cost more than buying him a suit – a hire suit is inclusive of alterations) for Den’s wedding as he is being my daughter’s matron of honour at his sister’s wedding and is wearing a kilt (LOL!), so I’m trying to keep it cost effective. Yep – we are officially POOR! Everything on the credit card and lets hope it’s paid off for the daughter’s wedding for us to do it all over again, fun fun – NOT!!!

I was wondering why there was a picture of a woman sitting at a piano. LOL

Oh Andi, the spending doesn’t stop there. You will find all sorts of “surprises” or things you didn’t know you had to pay for. When I was planning my wedding, I just remember all of these things that we didn’t think of the first time around when budgeting. And then my mom had to get an outfit and pay to have her hair done.

I know LBJ!!! I can’t even save a few dollars and get Den to do my hair – I’ll have to go and pay a hairdresser, bugga! AND I have NO idea how to have my hair done??? Do I leave it down and have it curled or straightened? Do I have it up??? Do I get a fringe cut again?
And no one here is any help. I just think it’s a lot of money and those dreaded forever photo’s… I am desperate to get it right – sigh!

By the way (snigger) I have decided (without telling anyone) when I hire Blair’s suit, I am going for something bright and fun, ha ha ha! If he isn’t part of the wedding party because of who he is, he is going to stand out as a guest for who he is!!! Bright, cheerful and funny!!! Naughty mother??? Lol!

I flew once for work and I swear as it took off and levelled out I was waiting for it to dive back down to Earth – I honestly just sat there for the whole hour or two waiting for it to crash! Then on the flight home, Bris Vegas had a HUGE storm and we were stuck up circling till it was safe to land – that was it for me! My one and only time and NEVER again! Why do you think I keep inviting you guys to MY place for Christmas, lol!

I hear ya AH – Etienne and I went to the Justice of the Peace on our lunch break :~) Of course we did do a reception in France…but it wasn’t over the top by any means and my family was excited to go to France. So it was more of a vacation for them than anything.

Blair is in his sister’s wedding? How very sweet! It sounds like you guys at least had some luck w/ clothes which is a nice weight off your shoulders, even though you’re broke now Andi!

I actually kind of like flying, but since it’s going to take Andi and Moxie a couple of years to get there, it gives me time to save up for my plane ticket!!

AH, I understand your pain, the fiance and I are doing the whole talk about weddings here since its going to be sometime next year here for us, but as the bride, I don’t want my parents paying for well everything. So its probably the Justice of the Peace for us with family, although my mom wants me in a wedding dress since I wore jeans to my first wedding. Yeah its my second, and my fiance’s first.

I GOT TO MEET COTTONTAIL!!! We sat in Chik FilA for 2 1/2 hours. She taught me more things about SC…like putting fire ants under a tree with termites and they will attack each other and one or the other will win, hopefully the ants because then I can nuke them in the yard as opposed to the termites that are in the tree. And she has the longest hair ever! All the way to the ground, or an inch above. Then she twists it with her hands a bit, uses her entire arm to finish the thickest part, then puts it in a very fancy bun back on top of her head. I got to see all this in the parking lot. What a great afternoon. She even bought my Coke because I forgot my purse back in my car. She came to Lowe’s and we met then she drove and I realized I was missing something after we got there. She and hubby are coming for dinner soon. I think they’ll talk computers or listen to us talk bunnies ha ha
Tobyluv is about 3 hours away. Maybe we shod have the BB convention in South Carlina. Then you’ll really have to paddle AH!

OMG AH, that is WHY I was cleaning. LOL We had our new fancy home phone line hooked up today by the cable company. The cable line coming into the house is in the bunny room. So I made that room SPOTLESS. I even got the fluff out from behind the desk! Then one thing led to another and we ended up cleaning other things. I had been meaning to do some spring cleaning anyway, but this just all came at once. Oh and I did get all of the stuff off of the table if anyone is curious. And NO the cable guy did not go in the basement, so my husband’s free standing toilet is still a secret.

I was at work when the guy came. My husband said he was telling someone on the phone about the buns when he called to activate the account. At first, I was like, aw! But then my husband said he was telling the person on the other end that the bunny was making funny sneezing noises. =( Poor Wooly. He still has the stray sneezing fit. I guess he decided to do it when someone was here. o_O

AH – You missed me? You’re so sweet! I think the bright suit for Blair is a great idea.

When we were planning our wedding, we didn’t really have a choice whether we wanted a “real” wedding or not. I mean, I suppose we could have gone to the courthouse or eloped. But my mother-in-law would have been really hurt. The wedding ended up costing more than we could afford and the honeymoon just about broke us. As far as the money goes though, I have no regrets. If I could do it over though, I would have gotten a wedding planner. People tell me it was a beautiful wedding, but I was so busy fussing over all of these things going wrong that I really didn’t notice. I wish I would have been able to enjoy my big day more. Yep, there is a lot of stuff you have to worry about when you try to plan the whole thing yourself. At least the cake was good. And my husband had kolache instead of a groom’s cake.

Megabunny – That is so cool! Did you say hi to CT for us?

Wow, today was such a LONG day. I was so happy to come home from work. Most of my day was consumed with damage control, which is not what I had planned for the day. =\

Fíli had his follow-up with the vet today, she said everything is healing well and he is looking good. Also he and Pippin are fighting less through the cage–I’m allowing myself to hope that SOMEDAY they’ll not hate each other! Probably won’t even try to reintroduce them for another month or so.

Weddings can be so expensive!! I got married at the courthouse…we were pretty broke. My parents came out and some of his family, and afterwards we drank a lot of champagne at my apartment and went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner. We planned to have a “real” wedding later, when we could afford it, but then we got divorced so that obvi didn’t happen! If I ever get married again, I think I would want to have a slightly more formal ceremony (and a dress!), but nothing TOO crazy. Of course that’s a big if, since my boyfriend doesn’t want to get married ever (for a long time, I didn’t either, but lately I have been thinking I might want to).

I’m so jealous of MB and CT!!! Lucky!!

We are going to Hawaii? Count me in! We can go to the Disney hotel, and lay in the lazy river, chatting about bunnies…. I’ll bring the taco boat!

I have been rather MIA lately, but it is currently snowing so I have decided to implement what I have affectionately named “The Andi Method-” if it is cold, stay in bed and stay on BB. :p

Yeah well according to google maps it would only take me 363 hours walking to get to SC. So be expecting me to be entering the state in 15.125 days!

I had a friend over today and she met Moxie for the first time. She couldn’t get over how “cute” Moxie was, how “big” she was, and how she acts like a “loyal dog”!

Hmm. My wedding only cost … er, $85 I think it was? Whatever the license fee was. haha The guy who officiated didn’t even charge us for doing it.

*sigh* Another long day. Did I get anything done? Nope! Wow, and now I’m starting to sound like AH.

We are home safe from vacation and picked up PumpRock this morning! I missed their cute little faces so much!!

Wow, I got absolutely nothing done again today. Not good. Oh wait, I did one load of laundry. Does that count? *sigh* I just couldn’t help it though. I was exhausted after yesterday and I ended up sleeping in really late. o_O

Can we leave for Hawaii today? I need a vacation from my vacation. I’m dreading going to work this morning. I peeked last night and have 127 emails in my inbox, not to mention the pile of paperwork that will be in my actual mailbox at work.

I got up at 4:30 to start working off the vacation weight!! I’m going to go to Yoga Sculpt tonight which is a really difficult strength training class that makes you sweat A LOT…hoping it makes me feel a little better.

I’m REALLY looking forward to this weekend. My parents are coming to help start my first garden!

The bunny baby sitter was so nice. She said that PumpRock were angels w/ their litter box (what??? they’ve been having poop wars for weeks here!) and if she didn’t already know, she would have guessed they’ve been bonded for years! Pumpkin of course starting humping Shamrock as soon as we got room to remind that she’s still in charge, no matter where they are!.

Hubby was funny though…we are going on another trip at the end of the month and we asked the sitter to watch them again, this time for only 4 days. Well hubby did not approve of Pumpkin’s poop size and was worried the sitter was not giving them unlimited hay (she is the directer of the Companion Rabbit Society in my state). I assured him that she knows what’s she’s doing and it’s more likely that Pumpkin was just being a diva and didn’t eat as much as she should have. These two did go through 4 litter boxes of hay during the day yesterday but it was over a 9 hour period. I think he’s becoming a worried poop dad which is good b/c it’s a hard job to have alone

Oh, Hawaii! I could do that Living in Eastern Canada is so weird, the weather is not stable at all. On Saturday it was about 5C and gloomy, yesterday it was close to 30C with humidity, and today is hovering around 10C. I could use some Hawaii weather, even if it involves a plain trip. I really dislike flying but I do at least one big trip per year, across the ocean. Family is in Portugal, I’m in Canada, so I try to visit once a year.

I’m sore today, I ran for an hour yesterday in the heat. I did 7.5K, in prep for my 10K this weekend. It’s almost time

I’m finishing analysis and writing one of my thesis chapters today. Fun, fun, fun! Sarcasm aside, it’s pretty interesting to see everything coming together and getting a clearer picture of what’s happening. Now I just have to make sense of the whys and hows

Its been along time since I have been able to sit down and actually post here. There is so much catching up to do. I hope everyone had a good Mother’s Day even those that have only pets count too! You are still mothers! I already posted on my day on the Mother’s day thread.

AH I hope you can get caught up on your finances. Wedding planning sounds kind of stressful. I hear you on the being broke thing I think we are officially broke and need to get caught up on our finances. I hope the wedding is beautiful though!

Little Lion Head I hope work isn’t too stressful that does sound like a lot of emails and paperwork to get caught up on! Planting a garden is fun. I don’t have a veggie garden but I have different plants I grow and tend to. The ones I am most excited about are my roses. I just ordered some new ones. They looked so pretty online. I am glad to hear you get to garden with your mom. I wish mine lived closer so we could do those types of things together. We have lost so many years of doing that type of thing together. I hope you have a nice visit with your parents!

Speaking of visiting parents, I was suppose to see my mom this weekend but we had storms all weekend. We plan to go see both of our families this weekend. We are going to give them their belated Mother’s Day gifts and my husband’s mother’s birthday is going to be celebrated on Saturday. This Friday I have my first braces adjustment appointment and I guess that’s the day we will do our errands so we are already booked up on plans for the weekend.

Oh and Megabunny your visit with Cottontail sounded fun! I bet it was interesting to meet someone from here. Glad it went well.

Well I am off to go visit my bun babies or the “Babbits” as I like to call my 2. Babbits is a combo of babies and rabbits. They are my babies! Usagi had the room torn up this morning. He likes to take his Hopper’s Hideaway apart. It was in pieces this morning. I cant decide if he did it for fun or if the storms bothered him last night!

Sindrionia, my parents are actually about 4 hours away so they are making a special trip up to see us and help out. I think they might even bring my Grandma! (I hope!) She’s 82 but loves getting out to see her grandkids and do stuff. I said we could set up a nice chair in the shade and she can cheer on the planting! My mom was talking about planting some rose bushes by the garage…we’ll see if we can get it all done in one weekend!!

OMG, my day was so frustrating today. You guys don’t even what to know. =\ In case anyone is wondering, I didn’t get much done at work or at home. Oh well.

There is a possum dying in my driveway. I let my dogs out to pee and they were barking their fool head’s off so we went out to see why and this poor scraggly looking possum was digging around in the gravel looking like he was looking for something to eat. Biting the rocks and everything. I grabbed some kibble and tossed it over to him and he did managed to eat a piece with great difficulty. His face looks all scarred and his eye on the side I could see was severely sunken in and almost pushed towards the back of the socket. I don’t know what happened to him, but he looks pitiful. I wet some kibble with some warm water and tossed that to him and left him alone, he moved about 6 feet from there and is laying on his side. Why do nearly dead possums have to show up at my house?

LBJ–I’m going to get some tomorrow!

Manic–that sounds awful! I wouldn’t be able to handle it. My hubby stepped on a frog (on accident) on a walk one day and it was dying this miserable death. I literally ran away b/c I couldn’t watch but also couldn’t bring myself to finish him off and put him out of his misery!

The possum died. I knew he was dying and there was nothing I could have done, except maybe bash his head in with a huge rock or take it off with a shovel… and I couldn’t bring myself to do that. Last year one showed up about the same size, maybe a little smaller that was dying and I shot it, but it was daylight, and I felt horrible afterwards for weeks. I couldn’t shoot this one, it was too late. I dreamed about shooting it though, and when I woke up, he was dead. I’m glad he isn’t suffering anymore.

I saw a pic on my facebook feed from someone I game with, I’m not sure if he saw the actual situation and took the picture himself or what (because someone commented that they had seen it on their way to work) but it was a picture of a dead animal on the side of the road/highway that someone had tied a “get well soon” balloon to the tail. I understand the humor of the circumstance with the caption of the balloon…. but seeing it in action… no, it’s not really funny.

Oh Manic. That’s really awful. Sorry to hear all that. Pretty amazing how we talk here about rabbits eating and trying to keep going right up to the end and there you saw it with the opossum first hand. Amazing he was eating just before he passed. So sad.

Oh I hate it when I find an animal suffering. I’m fine if they are already dead, but I don’t like seeing them suffer. =\ I suppose I was desensitized to that sort of thing (i.e. dead animals) at my old job.

OMG, I just wanted to cry today! Nothing was going right. It seemed like one disaster after another.

Oh good LLH, you’ll have to tell us how your garden goes.

I’m so sleepy! I was up all night with a sick pooch, helped a friend move all afternoon, then came home and did a ton of school work. All I want to do is have an early night but I can’t be bothered to move right now. Although I’ll have to move soon since Ox is tossing his hay around to let me know that I haven’t made him his salad yet.

Aww, sorry you were having a bad day MissG. I guess we were both having issues. Today is better for me, hopefully it is for you too.

I will say this though. I am so freaking fat! OMG, I’m trying to get all of my summer clothes out. I tried on all these shorts I wore last summer. Yes, LAST summer. They all fit then and now many of them won’t even go past my hips or button.

I spent a good portion of today trying to figure things out for my by-mail surveys for my thesis. I had a lengthy email exchange with someone regarding the items we will need printed. Finally I got to a satisfactory point (they had all they needed and it sounds like everything will be printed as I would like). Well, anyway, the last email they sent me was saying they would send the proofs to my adviser and to have a good evening… away from pestering them. Huh? o_O

LBJ, that’s so rude! I would tell them not to bother and that I’ll take my business elsewhere. But I can understand that you might just want it over with after finally getting everything straightened out. You can always go somewhere else, next time.

Hazel – This wasn’t a company, it was at the university. =\ We’re supposed to use them for all university affiliated studies.

OH NO!!! I can’t believe I did this…. AGAIN! The night before last, and I will admit it was way past my bedtime by a few hours (lol!), but I wrote this long post catching up – it took me at least half an hour….. and I hit submit and turned off desperate to go to bed. The tiredness just hit me, but I was determined to finish. I got into bed and thought I should have checked it for spelling (hahaha!), so I did this morning AND it’s NOT there!!! I am the worst manic when it comes to animals being injured, sick or dying and YES! for some stupid reason I do the same thing – offer it food. WHY do we do that??? Then I resort to plan B and pick it up and take it to the vet (I’m lucky manic, I have a vet just down the road from me). How sad that we know when something is dying and we can’t do a dam thing about it. Breaks my heart. I had one of my puppy’s die on me and what did I do? I took it to the vet – WHY??? And I was old enough to know better – I was in my 30’s. Doh! I am a HUGE believer in not letting anything suffer, but do you think I could end it’s life – NO! Because I’d worry that anything I ‘could’ do would inflict more pain and suffering – is that why I take everything to the vet? They have an obligation to treat or euthanize anything left with them – don’t they??? Please say YES!

Well LBJ… don’t pick up my bad habit of getting nothing done, lol! Do you know I have been busy as for weeks but do you think I actually got anything done – NOPE! Even today, I have been up and down all day, but do I have anything to show for it??? Maybe tonight, but as soon as everyone gets up in the morning it will look like I did nothing – AGAIN! No wonder I can’t get motivated. And getting cold here now is not helping – you have no idea how easy it would have been to pull the cover’s up and stay in bed all day Amanda. It was 14 degrees this morning and it took me till lunch time to warm up and take my dressing gown off, hahaha! How you guys get up and go out and about in the snow simply amazes me??? I’d be the best ‘grizzly’ bear and hibernate all Winter!!! And when I say Grizzly… I mean wake me, remove my covers or simply disturb my WARM hibernation and I will ‘growl’!!!

I know some members will find this strange (lol!), but I am SO happy for you MB when I read that your son and his fiancé have put their wedding plans off. I couldn’t be happier for you, LOL! We sort of started discussing this in Sarita’s ‘watcha reading thread’ and I think I derailed it a bit – Ooooop’s! Sorry Sarita! hahahaha! And thought I’d bring it back here which I prefer anyway as we are part of this chat thread cause we are interested in our intimates, lol! And it seems that everyone I am close with contributes/shares on this thread. I hope you guys know that even when I can’t post I always read and keep up to date. I genuinely adore you guys sharing and being able to share stuff with you – you guys are my sanity and most importantly, MY treasured friends!

Ok, now I’m starting to forget what else I talked about – that was when I was getting tired, obviously! Lol!

I have a DAM bunny and an uncool husband! I can’t win!!!

I am so embarrassed! It is barley 8.30pm and I am tired and packing up for bed – I think I am still making up for the other night when I went to bed at a ridiculous hour in the morning! I keep telling myself I’m too old to be doing that, but do you think I will listen – NO! So my body suffers the consequences.
I just went into my bedroom and it is freezing! I forgot to close up in there and I swear it is 12 degrees! I normally don’t like anyone laying up close to me – I like room to move and roll over (I’m a side sleeper), but I hope Henry and the dog’s lay right up against me tonight, at least till I warm up or fall asleep. Then I need them to back up! I hate going to roll over and having to wake up to move a dog so I can.
Seriously, sleeping with anyone (mostly pets) is over rated! Hahahahaha……..

I was so jealous when it was freezing here and you were talking about swimming at Christmas time! Sorry Andi, but I’m getting a teeeeensy bit of satisfaction out of know warm weather is just around the corner here and you’re snuggled up for warmth! Andi don’t feel bad about going to bed early. Hubby and I get up at around 5 or 5:30 so we usually go to bed around 9 sometimes 10. I have always been a person who needs a lot of sleep. my mom still teases me about me needing to go to bed around 8:30 when I was in my high school years. I LOVE sleep but have had periods of not sleeping here and there over the past few years. I seem to have patterns but I have been sleeping a lot better this year thus far. I need to knock on wood. LOL

The weather here is driving me crazy. Its been a bit chilly here the past couple of days. Its suppose to warm up. The rain is driving me crazy I may loose some plants because of the rain. We got 8 and half inches of rain alone this past weekend. Our grass is having a hard time dealing with the rain too. We need it to be dry for a week or so. We got rain today and suppose to have more tonight and we have a high chance of rain the rest of the weekend. I miss the sun!

Goodness, had a crazy couple days over here. Yesterday morning Pippin wasn’t very excited to get his morning pellets. I left him with a big pile of hay and hoped he would be his usual self when I got home from work. Unfortunately, I got home and the hay and pellets were untouched and not a single poop in the litter box. My vet was closed, so I had to take him in to the emergency room. And sure enough, he had blockage and compaction. Poor guy had to stay overnight at the hospital, and then still hadn’t pooped at all so had to transfer to my vet for the rest of the day. He finally started pooping this afternoon and I was able to bring him home after work. He is huddled in the corner of his cage looking miserable, I feel so bad for him!!

It was really expensive to take him to the ER, but I wasn’t going to take the chance of waiting overnight. Especially since that was what happened to Merry. So yeah, bad bunny luck around here! Hopefully everyone will calm down and be healthy for a while!

Poor Pippin! I’m sorry he’s had such a rough time but I’m glad you were able to catch it early and get him treated. Is he still pooping?

I have discovered that I own an enormous amount of costume jewelry. I’m not kidding! As our spring cleaning continues, I have moved on to the bedroom. You know, switching out the winter clothes for the summer clothes. And I disassembled the chaos that was the top of the dresser. There is so much jewelry, it’s ridiculous. The funny thing is, I don’t wear any of it anymore. It’s just what I accumulated from years of working in the accessories department. You always had to be accessorized. o_O

Went out laser tagging with a bunch of friends for my brother’s birthday, and them we came back to our house and played Imagineiff. I didn’t know what MTV s was and they blew it all out of proportion, it was really embarrassing. It’s no wonder I didn’t know what it was, I grew up watching shows appropriate for my age, and I even now have no interest in anything with a mature rating. Geez. Someone even said I was ‘naive’. Seriously? Just because I don’t know anything about mature rated shows? It made me so mad! One of my best friends of course didn’t join in, she felt really bad for me, so that was a little comforting. I just hate it when people treat me like I’m twelve, just because I’m petite! Yes, I’m almost an adult and it still happens. Whew I really needed to vent about that They are all great people, and they weren’t trying to pressure me into anything, i just realized it might have sounded like they were. They don’t watch those shows either, but they can get a little carried away when someone doesn’t know something, apparently.

MK – sounds like normal teenagers to me. BTW, being naive isn’t always a bad thing.

LBJ- maybe, but they usually don’t gang up on people like that, so it was a little out of character for them. I guess that’s true…

MK Glad you don’t sound too mad at your friends. They’re teens and probably young for THEIR age in ways that would help them if they weren’t. Does that make sense?

Megabunny- yes, that makes sense. I have people tell me I’m mature for my age, but sometimes I wish I looked my age :/ I usually can look my age if I stay away from “teeny” looking clothes: super bright colors, bedazzled stuff, etc. That helps a little, plus when I get my braces off that will help

MK— well sometimes people thinking you are younger then you are isn’t so bad. Once, I was in charge of a family member (a little girl about 4-5 at the time) for a little while at a fair. Well there were these gangster looking guys with LOWWW pants, smoking non stop and it was blowing in our faces while we were waiting in line to go on a ride and swearing non stop and saying very inappropriate things. Well it was really annoying me. So I turned around an glared at them with my *icy glare of doom* and they appologized for ‘swearing in front of my child.’ o.O lol But yes, I really see how it’s frustrating. Hang in there. <3

Moxie got to eat some Dandelions for the first time this year yesterday(?). She seemed to enjoy them, although it doesn’t seem to many will grow at this new house. It’s too wet (drainage problem, making all the water that runs off the road/hill pool up). So yeah. I think I am going to offer to pick dandelions in my friend’s lawn if she doesn’t want them. She used to have a bun so she understands and will be willing. They live close so yeah. Does anybody know a good website/guide with pics about wild plants/grasses they can eat? I really want to harvest some stuff but am very cautious and nervous about harvesting stuff if I am not sure.

So I am a little upset right now because one of my older chicks is not doing so good. We aren’t too sure what is going on with him. He either injured himself somehow (got spooked and hurt himself) last night, or is sick. He was vaccinated at the hatchery for certain fatal illnesses though and has been on medicated food to prevent other illnesses they can contract from their poo or whatnot since birth. Also there are no livestock vets around so there’s not much we can do, so I am just frustrated. We have been hand feeding him water and hard boiled egg yolks to boost him. I am also slightly nervous because if he somehow got ill he could have already spread illnesses to the other chicks. gahhhhhhhhhhh! So send some vibes that he comes out of it and everything is okay.

Oh dandelions!! I can’t even find them in the store anymore. They are a winter weed here and there are very few in the stores now. i assume it’s because they’re out of season?
Do you know anyone with an apple tree?? Yum! I THINK crab apple is OK, but I’d check with someone first or look it up. I just always aimed for straight apple.
We live in a land of lawn chemicals, and I did find a place that has some weeds but I’d have to have a cooler to bring them home and such. I’ve taken to throwing some seeds in pots for something different. Nasturtiums have been growing well. Sometimes I just stick the pot in front of Gus and he grazes, though I don’t let him have too much because I don’t know for sure how much to give him. Also, the cuke seeds grow their leaves and then I feed those. I have marigolds and turnip greens sprouting as well. I used to feed him pansies until I read they shouldn’t have plants fertilized with potential chemical growth boosters, so I have a fertilizer for veggies to use if I let anything grow long enough to flower…like pansies in the fall.
Cottontail is going to bring him treats from her parents’ yard sometime.

So you know I’m planting a garden this weekend. We had a huge garden, plants, flowers, growing up. My mom has an amazing green thumb. Last summer she came and helped me plant mums. I killed them all and nothing came back

Funny, I don’t remember doing any gardening stuff as a kid (mom said I didn’t usually come out to help b/c of my allergies which makes sense), so it’s taking her A LOT of patience to teach me everything from scratch. Even just a simple “this is how you dig a hole to plant flowers…”

Mom potted my basil, cilantro, parsley, and mint last night. We roped off the garden and are going to get a sod cutter and a tiller today. It’s supposed to storm off an on but mom says we’ll plant through it!

I’m not going to take up chat thread with it, but I need lots of Vibes for my Pete! I opened a thread for anyone that wants to know what’s going on; but please send vibes!

So for those who care, the chick didn’t die last night like we thought he would. (He could stand but could not lift his head at all or keep his eyes open. He was also very lethargic and listless and non responsive.) So after being in “chicken critical care” all day and being force fed and watered, we put him under the lamp last night an hoped for the best. Well when we got up this morning he could lift his head, eat on his own and was napping like a regular chicken! He’s still a little slow but a lot better. We think he might of ate something bad somehow and it got stuck in his crop. But either way I am glad he is doing okay now.

MK – Okay, so what I meant to say earlier was that sometimes when teenagers get in a group they don’t want to admit that they don’t know about something that “everyone else” knows about. I know, I’ve been there. LOL Anyway, sometimes individuals who normally aren’t outspoken or confrontational will jump on the bandwagon when they see others putting someone down. Does that make sense? I’m sorry if I’m not explaining that well. Anyway, that could explain why they were not acting like they normally do around you. All it takes is one person to get things started and the others follow to they can remain part of the group.

When I said being naive isn’t always a bad thing, it’s true. You are mature for your age and that means you will likely avoid childish and inappropriate things. There is nothing wrong with not wanting to watch certain things or participate certain things if they go against your morals or values or even who you are. And I’m sure there are plenty of things you know about that they DON’T. I know you’re into science right now, so you probably know a lot of things. Important, relevant things that maybe they will wish they knew later on down the line when they mature more and find themselves in college.

My baby cousin is turning one tomorrow! He’s growing up so fast and he’s getting so big wahhhhhh!

I get dandelion greens from the store sometimes, but they are a little more expensive than the usual greens I get, so it’s a treat for the boys! Never thought about harvesting wild stuff. Not too much of it growing around here, between the drought and well-cared for lawns!

Pippin is doing much better, being his usual snotty self. Thanks for all the good wishes! Most of Fíli’s bites have healed, so hopefully we’re in for some healthy bunnies for a while. I’d be happy not to go back to the vet until their checkups next year! On the bright side, they seem slightly less antagonistic. Probably still a good couple weeks away from having them interact without a cage in between, but I have not given up on the idea of them bonding.

LBJ — I hope it was an upright freezer and not a freezer chest or that could get down right uncomfortable! All you need to do now is cut a door in the box and, voila! You could even cut a window in the box and maybe draw some curtains?!

JR – Nope, it’s pretty cramped in there because it’s a chest freezer. =\ LOL Actually, the Dish man was just here and my husband KNEW he would need to go in the basement. So he put the box over the toilet down there to make it look like there wasn’t one.

I’m really proud of my romaine rows. This took me the longest! I did seeds for the other lettuces.

Well can’t you just imagine walking downstairs and seeing a box with somebody’s head sticking out? Just don’t make eye contact or it could get awkward.

LLH— How big is it? I like gardening, but we are only going to have a small one this year. Since we moved and other things to focus on, ect. it wasn’t at the top of our radar. I’m sure you’ll really enjoy gardening and getting back what you have worked hard on. Your garden and yard is beautiful.

Holy cow, that’s a big garden! Are you going to put up a fence or anything? My in-laws keep complaining about animals eating stuff in their garden, but they only have half a fence. LOL How does that work?

OMG, how embarrassing, right? And they (Dish Network) wondered why we didn’t want a technician to come to our house. Lucky for us, he did not need to string a new wire. I don’t know how he would have done it since he was kinda big and there is stuff stacked to the ceiling on that half of the basement.

I ran my first 10K today. And it was really the first time I attempted 10K, my practice was delayed and only got me up to 8! But it went great, I aimed to do it under 90mim and did it under 75, so I’m really happy. What an adrenaline rush. I’m exhausted now though. It’s also Chester’s adoptiversary today. He’s been with me for 2 years now! I order a Teach and Treat but it arrived early and I couldn’t wait to give it to him He loves it and mastered level 1 quite easily. We’re working on level 2 now

Congrats on your10k BubbleJo! It really is an adrenaline rush!! So much fun!

LBJ, my mom thinks I should put up a fence. I most likely will but we didn’t get around to it. She’s coming back next month with some panels for the veggies that will vine and we’ll probably do it then.

We ended up doing a Raspberry bush, a Blueberry bush, and a Golden Raspberry bush right behind the house (picture below).

Moxie has really been enjoying the daily dose of dandelion lately! I don’t understand why people consider them weeds and kill them, they are so beautiful especially in huge fields. But maybe that’s just me.
The night before last night Moxie decided to scare me by refusing to eat her night pellets and hay. And of course we had just ran out of greens and were going to the store the next day. So off I go in my pajamas and a flashlight searching in the darkness for dandelions that were hard to find because there aren’t too many around here and they had closed up for the night. So after probably making a fool of myself and had the neighbors wondering what was going on, I was able to find one. Moxie ate it up and was looking for more! But after she realized I had no more she decided she was going to eat. Picky bunny!

I think dandelions are beautiful as well. I like them even more now that I know bunnies can eat them. lol Moxie is a character.

Whenever I see a field of field of dandelions I imagine the buns running wild having the time of their lives lol! I think they are pretty in big fields like that but not so pretty when its just scragglers here and there. I was stealthily picking out of the neighbors yard Saturday evening; they have a ton. Hubby said I looked like a creeper! haha oh well!

I’m glad Moxie got her act together. Whenever we give these guys smaller salads it makes them run straight to the hay box to fill up. Weird how their minds work!

Haha especially if they see my giant garden! I think the neighbors two doors down already think that. They were shocked when I said I needed to get home one day because the bunnies were out. They were like “out?? like out in your house???” hahaha

Moxie – Ecologically speaking, they are weeds. At least in North America where they have been introduced. They are native to Europe and Asia. That being said, I really think people need to chill out a little when it comes to weeds. Spraying them with chemicals is doing more harm than good. =\ They do make a bunny paradise though. Perhaps people should just use herds of rabbits to control their weeds. Hehe!

Having bunnies has completely changed my view on weeds. Seeing dandelions, ground elder, plantains etc makes me happy. It’s all delicious bunny food! It strikes me as odd now that I used to be “angry” with these weeds and do my best to (mechanically and manually) eradicate them.

Please send some vibes for Yohio who is at the vet for a molar trim. I worry, but I always worry. My little cuddly darling.

Yohio is back home, very groggy and trembly. I got a bigger bottle of Metacam this time which is great because he’ll probably need it just as much as he did last time.Here his in his carrier, resting his chin on a dandelion leaf. He’s to stay in the carrier until he perks up so he doesn’t hurt himself on sth if he falls over. 

We often eat ground elder and nettles in the spring. They are great for soup and pie fillings and stir-fries. Dandelions are reserved for the bunnies though.

Moxie – Some say they have medicinal properties. You know what’s funny though? My mom thought they were poisonous and she freaked out one time when I was a little kid and I had squeezed some dandelion juice out onto my hands.

No seriously, she freaked out. I was picking them and the milky sap was coming out of the stems. It was on my hands and my mom panicked when she saw. She dragged me into the house, forced my hands into the sink, and scrubbed my hands together with soap. She literally scrubbed my hands together, she had a hold of my wrists! When I was driving out of town we came across this HUGE field that was at least 10 acres. And guess what? It was literally YELLOW with so many dandelions! I want to find out who owns it to see if I can pick some.

Between work craziness, bunny vet visits and litterbox troubleshooting, and HVAC issues, I feel like I’ve been through a whirlwind! Definitely ready to find a few quiet boring days!

Marlee’s UTI is gone, but Moshi has abrasions on both eyes (not bad ones but enough to require an additional 2 wks of drops and a recheck on the 29th). Both buns are back to their normal selves though!

I cry because I’m fat and then what do I do? I turned around and ate SO MUCH today. =(

It doesn’t help that it’s so freaking cold here right now. It was 80 degrees a few days ago, today it was in the lower 50s. It has been drizzly the last couple of days too. We had put our coats away for the summer too. It’s May, it isn’t supposed to be in the 50s. *sigh*

JR – When we were doing our spring cleaning, everything was a huge blur. I hate that. When there is all this stuff going on, I start to feel overwhelmed and I begin to shut down. Does that happen to you too? I was having a hard time coping at work too. There is just too much stuff going on. =\

LBJ — that’s exactly how I feel! I just need to get one thing under control and I’ll feel better. The plan is to get my house cleaned, but I might have to narrow it down to just getting the litterbox thing figured out or getting my summer/winter clothes swap done! I did get my shoes swapped out so that was something! Had hoped to do more yesterday but had an HVAC technician here all morning and then back again last night until midnight. Ugh!

Taekwondo class was not fun today, I accidentally gave one of the nicest kids in the school a bloody nose (I didn’t actually hit him hard, he has a very sensitive nose) so I feel bad about that, and then at the end of class, when I was exhausted, my teacher decides to pit me against a visiting black belt, she was smaller and younger than me, but she hit HARD and she was really good, compared to me, the white belt who has only been training for a month and a half. LBJ, I know how you feel, I just gave Yohio some CC with metacam and he was really, really mad. Tried to dig a hole right through my tummy.

LBJ its not fair that they look all cute and cuddly. Rocky looks like he’s just DYING to be SNUGGLED….but then you pick him up and all hell breaks loose.

You try to bestow tenderness and love upon these fluffy little darlings, and they go Monty Python on you. That’s the bunny owner’s plight. Woe is me!

I think bam’s description ought to be in the manual that should come with every bunny. Excellent description bam!

This morning, as the hubby was leaving for work, some woman came down the street, walking her two little yappers. They stop at our ditch and sure enough, one of them takes a dump. As she gets ready to leave, the hubby asks her “Are you going to pick that up?” She looks at him dumbfounded, at a loss for words for several seconds. Finally she says “Well this is public property, so…” Really? First of all, it’s not public property, it’s an easement and still part of our property. Even if it was public, what difference would it make? It still doesn’t mean that she gets to leave her dog’s poop all over the place for people to step in.The only thing that matters is the fact that it isn’t HER property. She seriously couldn’t believe that the hubby even said anything. How can you be so clueless that you don’t see why it’s wrong to do this?!

Hopefully this was embarrassing enough for her to stay away. If not, I might have to leave a little something in her mailbox.

Hazel My mother in law is the same way. They come to visit us every now and again and when they do they bring one of their many dogs with. She walked it around the neighborhood encouraging it to go to the bathroom in the yards of my neighbors. My husband and I were with her and my husband said “Mom I don’t think our neighbors would like your dog pooping in their yard.” We have 2 lots that aren’t built on yet and he told her to take the dog over there if she had to. I sometimes walk our dogs around the neighborhood and when I do if our dogs poop in someone’s yard I always carry a plastic bag and pick it up. Its the right thing to do I feel. I mentioned that to my mother in law. That’s pretty annoying. In some states they even post signs for people to pick up their pets poop.

LBJ Oh no I hope you can figure out something to fix the problem!

I finally got a summer job! Yay! I’ll be taking the bus for the first time in my life, crazy, huh? I can’t believe I’ve never taken a public bus. Anything I should know from ya’ll who ride buses a lot? I’m pretty much totally confused at the moment but my brother is going with me on a “test run” tomorrow so I can see the route I’m taking.

Congrats on your summer job MK. I haven’t ridden a bus in so long. I am sorry I cant give you any advice there but I am glad your brother is going with you for a test run. Let us know how things go!

Sindriona – Nothing can be done, unfortunately. My adviser was not happy. That was a few hundred dollars wasted. I still don’t understand. Why would they go ahead and mail them without saying anything first? We wanted to have everything printed and ready to go before we sent stuff out because we wanted to strategically time it. We paid another person to make postcards for us. We just received them yesterday and I was going to take them to the mailing services office to have them printed with the addresses and mailed. The post cards were supposed to go out BEFORE the surveys (they are meant to alert the recipients that a survey will be coming). While we were waiting for the post cards to be made, we thought we would have the actual surveys and accompanying information printed so it would be ready to go (supposed to be mailed out 4 or 5 days after the alert postcard). I asked for a proof for the surveys, etc. They sent the proofs to my adviser, but would not leave it with him (huh???). He had to look it over and give it back. I never heard a word from them between asking them to provide a proof and the email I received today saying the surveys just went in the mail. By the time my adviser called them (10 minutes), it was too late. So yeah, no need for the alert postcards now. So that was money wasted. =( Plus I’m afraid I won’t get as many responses since this is a proven, three step method for getting survey replies.

Congrats on the job, MK! I’m sure you’ll get the hang of riding the bus, it’s quite easy. My biggest recommendation is to bring something to listen to! Or something to read, if you can do that (makes me feel sick to read on the bus).

LBJ, that sounds terribly frustrating. Can you try to get some sort of refund from the mailers, since they clearly did not fulfill the order as you made it? That might help recoup some of the postcards loss. Hopefully you will get a good amount of responses regardless!

Nora, I don’t know. I can see if my adviser wants to pursue it. He was pretty annoyed and let them know it, that I do know. It’s very frustrating. *sigh*

Nora- Thanks! yes the bus ride is 1 hour long, even though it only takes 15 mins by car but this way I don’t need to inconvenience my parents by having them drive me all the time. They wouldn’t mind, but I don’t want to miss work if they ever can’t drive me. Plus it makes me feel independent I’m planning a senior year trip next year Me and some of my closest friends are trying to swing going to Kauai! I hope I can pull it off money-wise!

Considering all of the other problems with my thesis, I should see this as minor. It just seems like everything has been working against me throughout this entire process. If it wasn’t this, I’m sure it would be something else to add to my list of “obstacles”.

Gosh yes! The plane tickets are literally 3/4 of the price of going there! The hotel won’t be quite as expensive, as there are 4 or 5 of us going, and we’re all splitting the cost. It’s a little crazy, but I’ve had a really “quiet” high school experience, being homeschooled (which I loved, but it also means no prom or dances, etc) I want to finish it off with a bang!! Plus it’s a birthday present for myself, I just want to get to know myself when I’m on my own a little

Nothing wrong with that MK! It will be good for you to get out there and experience things on your own. I only went to the Big Island and Oahu, so I can’t make any recommendations for Kauai. My in-laws did go there. I can’t think of anything they did there. I just remember my mother-in-law complaining because she was cold there. I think it was in the 50s when they went. Let me know if you want recommendations for the Big Island or Oahu!

LOL, you say that now, but just wait until you’re in grad school. I know what you mean though and that’s the problem. Things are NOT being done right because circumstances simply do not allow. That’s why this is so frustrating for me.

I actually went to Kauai last year, it was heavenly!! I can’t wait to go again One of my other friends went, but she didn’t really get to enjoy the island, because she went as a babysitter for 5 kids. This time it will just be us, swimsuits, shopping and the beach! True it’s easy for me to say hang in there!

I don’t actually know if it’s a trendy shoe store, do you have the Walking Company where you live?

Henry appeared! I have no idea where he’s been this entire time, but he’s found!

bam: AH came home from shopping and noticed that Henry was nowhere to be found. She looked all over the house and garden and even put out treats but couldn’t find him. When Blair got home she had him help look for Henry but they still couldn’t find him anywhere. Her hubby and a friend were also going to come over and help out with the search but I don’t know how that went.

I’m just so relieved that he’s been found!

You would think that it’s just common courtesy not to leave feces in someone’s yard, but I guess some people don’t get that. I don’t necessarily like it when people let their dogs “use” our lawn, but as long as they pick up after them, it’s alright. I get that when you gotta go, you gotta go and that goes for dogs too.

Yes, Henry has been found, although I don’t think he thought he was lost! Hw was missing for hours and AH was so upset. Apparently he just finally decided to come out from wherever he had been and hopped down the hallway for a bite of banana, some food and a trip to the litterbox as if everything was normal! I think he has truly earned the “dam bunny” title now!

Hazel— She is turning 2 years old on August 7th, which isn’t that far away.

MK – No we don’t have one here, but I know it’s a comfort shoe store. We have a store similar to that here. I’m all about the comfort, I really miss my Birkenstocks.

OMG, don’t get me started on dog poop. It has become a huge issue and it’s a health hazard because the bacteria actually washes into our local streams and rivers. Blech! They even did DNA testing on the bacteria to confirm that it is coming from dog poop.

I pick up my dog’s poop unless were far away in nature, but even then I remove it from the trail so nobody will risk stepping in it. If you have any sort of sense, you pick up after your dog where I live. Regulations and traditions may be different in other parts of the world. I hear they have a huge problem in Paris, France.

LBJ— I looked it up and I think they are. But they always get mowed because they grow right in the middle of the lawn. But I think they are pretty.

I always pick up after my dog when I take her out. But I am kinda keeping them under “lock down” now because of the dog flu going around, even though it hasn’t reached our state yet it’s getting very close.

Wow, Moxie is the sama age as the M&M’s too!

I think a lot of our buns are similar ages, but we just don’t notice.

Speaking of birthdays, I’m going to be away when Ox turns 3 and that makes me sad. I’ll have to celebrate with him when I get back. Maybe I’ll try my hand with another “cake.”

I got in the other day (once I can’t get in in I usually get up and do something and every time I walk past my desk I stop and try again) but I was in the middle of bringing the clothes in and doing the folding and when I came back to the computer I clicked on the chat thread again to see if anyone else had posted while I was gone and it timed out on me again and I couldn’t get back in – FRUSTRATED!!! So I knew this morning not to touch anything and just ‘post’! Ha ha ha ha…..

I haven’t had a proper catch up yet, but I did see I missed some birthdays – HAPPY BIRTHDAY Tessie & OSCAR! How disappointing I almost missed out. I know I am late (sorry!), but I hope you know I wouldn’t have missed the party if I could help it. I am still not sure if the problem is ‘my’ computer or the BB site? I have always had this problem, but never to this extreme and always thought the problem was with me till I read that other’s have been having issue’s? And I can get into everything else on my computer. I don’t want to make a fuss and upset Mr & Mrs BB cause I know they are aware of the problems we are having and is trying to fix them. And the last thing I want to do is cause them anymore grief when I am so super appreciative of this site – you do know that when something happens in my life I can’t wait to get on BB and share it with all my friends, he he he he!

I can see you heard about the drama I had with that naughty boy Henry on Friday – my goodness, I don’t think I have been that distressed or upset since my kid’s were little??? Dam bunny! Lol! I better explain the whole saga and I’ll do that in the next post otherwise this post will be 2 pages long and I’ll have you yawning and dozing off before your half way through, hahaha!

So on Friday morning the hubby and I left home around 9.30am to go to the shops as we normally would, leaving Sam and Henry while putting George and Frank in the garage cause I worry once they start barking they don’t stop and I’d hate to annoy the neighbourhood – Sam doesn’t bark much cause she is deaf and can’t hear to react. We get home around 11/11.30am and as soon as we open the door we saw the board that stops Henry and the dog’s from getting into the lounge room knocked over from the wind (it was a cold windy day), but we weren’t concerned as this has happened before and always found Henry asleep under our bed. But we always check!!! And goodness forbid, he wasn’t there!
As I’m sure you all know (I’ve complained about it enough, lol!), I have Denny’s house stuff stored in our lounge room and we both assumed he was in there. Knowing Henry and his routine I knew he would be asleep, I did some banging thinking he would move and I would hear him – nothing! So I waited knowing he would wake up and come out for his lunch – he didn’t! Then I got panicked thinking what if he’s stuck or god forbid he slipped and hurt himself and not being able to call out??? And to make it worse the hubby mentioned going outside which I completely dismissed ‘NO way would Henry go outside’!!! But as the afternoon with no sign of him went on I let the idea creep into my head. I had the torch out looking into the most ridiculous places, opening cupboard doors, checking everything time and time again – I couldn’t sit still. By 2.30/3pm I was frantic and crying and I went outside and checked everywhere including the fence line 3x’s looking for the tiniest hole that a mouse could fit through – our fence is tight, no way could he get out. When we first moved here years ago and I did the garden’s I even got the grinder out and cut old wire fencing and dug it into the ground at the fence cause our Toy Poodle Molly was a digger and tried to dig out under the fence, so even if Henry went outside (which I still knew he WOULDN’T!) I knew he couldn’t get out our fence. I anxiously waited till Blair got home at 3.30pm to help me lift and move all Denny’s stuff (and yes, I am covered in bruises, lol!) and when he didn’t appear that was it – I lost it, I was sobbing thinking I’ve LOST my bunny! I called the hubby at work in tears (hahaha!) and he tried to assure me Henry HAD to be somewhere – by this time I had completely torn the house apart and I did the unimaginable??? I went to my feral neighbours house and asked if I could check her fence line and yard telling her I couldn’t find my teacup sized puppy named Henry, hehehe!
The hubby then texted me back and said if I couldn’t find Henry by 5pm he would come home from work – we had flooding once and he didn’t come home for that! LOL! I even had my one friend offer to come over and help look for him, good grief! So by this time Henry had been missing for 6+ hours and it was dark outside (it’s Winter here in a week) and all’s I could do was pace and open up every door and turn everything upside down again. The hubby called me at 5.40pm to say he was barely a minute away and we would start at one end of the house and work our way through and I turned my head to see Henry hopping down the hallway, straight past me to the banana! I could have killed him!!! Then stupid me started crying from relief! And the hubby pulled up in the driveway. Henry then made his made to eat his uneaten pellets, a quick toilet stop then he had the hide to realise how late it was and nudged my foot demanding his veggie dinner! I was furious, lol!
We went to bed that night with our house looking like someone bombed it and I had a stinking headache and I didn’t sleep well – I was so overwhelmed after the days events. And yesterday (Saturday) Henry just carried on like it was any other day oblivious to the grief he caused….

NAUGHTY DAM BUNNY!

I followed the whole ordeal on facebook Andi and I’m just glad he’s okay. I was worried when I went to bed because you hadn’t found him yet. He should know better than to worry you (and us!) so much.

And welcome back to the chat thread, we have really missed you around here!

Sooooo….. I walked away with 21 completed surveys today. My first attempt at collecting data went as well as it could have, I suppose. I’m still very upset about the other stuff, but there isn’t much a can do about it now.

Lol LBJ! I still haven’t forgiven Henry, hahaha! But I am also angry at Den – he said he would be moving his stuff by now and I know that we would have found Henry in minutes if his stuff wasn’t stored here. And the grief I went through thinking (I should have never entertained the idea!) that he may be outside when we couldn’t find him after a while. Anyhow, the secure baby gate is back up (and I hate it!!! Lol!) so I am assured we will never have to endure Friday’s episode ever again.
And true to Henry’s form…. it is 1.30pm and I am out in the kitchen and my desk and Henry is laying behind me on the door mat after waking up from his morning nap and having his lunch – such a routine bunny! Lol!

I am so sorry for everything your going through – If only I could, I’d fill out a survey for you LBJ……

Hubby and I are driving home from Oklahoma (we went to Rocklahoma which is a three day rock concert) so I haven’t been on in a few days. I so flipping worried about Henry Thursday night when I went to bed, the first thing I did when I woke up Friday morning was check Facebook and was so relieved he was found.

Hubby is driving and I said “wow I haven’t been on BB in 4 days” and he said “well at least you know Henry’s safe” lol

I just have to hang out another load of washing and make my hubby lunch so he can leave for work – we don’t want any excuses for him not to go to work today, hahaha! I’ll be back on soon – SO much catching up to do, LOL!

Pumpkin is pissed at me! Hubby thinks its because I dropped them off with the sitter this time. She won’t let me anywhere near her except to grab a treat and run!

The hubby has LEFT the house!!! LOL! Now to catch up on a week’s worth of BB, woo-hoo! Hahaha….

I know I am catching up in random order, and sorry for rehashing some stuff that I’m sure your bored with, but you must know what I’m like by now, lol! CONGRATS MK on your job – I am so excited for you! I still remember getting my first job at KMart when I was 14 and still in high school. I felt so grown up and the money (back then I worked Saturday’s 8.30am – 5.30pm) was amazing – earning under $20 for the day, hahaha! Now you get paid almost $20 an hour, lol! And even my kid’s loved their first part time job’s at Woolies while in school. But sadly it is a novelty that wears off – I, along with my kid’s hated it after about 6 months, but kept going back for the ‘MONEY’! Ha ha ha ha! What’s the first thing you want to buy??? I think mine was a block of chocolate, lol! I know, strange! But my mum was very poor and lollies and chocolate were such a treat! I’m sure I bought other stuff – clothes???, but that’s what I remember….. hahaha! Oh gosh, catching a bus/train! Again, when I was young, public transport was virtually non existent and I hated not being able to get out and about unless my mum drove me (Gosh! My mum was amazing!), so when my kid’s turned 12 and public transport was in abundance I didn’t hesitate to teach them how to use and embrace it – it really does open up another world to you! My kid’s (not Blair obviously) were travelling into the City when they were around 14, and unless my hubby can drop me and Blair off when we go see a show, I don’t hesitate to catch the train into Bris Vegas. I actually caught a train into the City for work every day for 5 years – NO way could I drive in Brisbane! I remember I had to retrieve a customer tickets once for a concert and was given the company car – I got out of the City ok, but I had a staff member direct me back in and I swear I went down 2 one way streets, stopped in a no parking zone while getting directions and everyone applauded when I walked back into the building, hahaha! Sure to say I was never sent out again unless I could ‘walk’ it! LOL!
One good thing about ‘walking it’…. I went (yesssss – walked!) to the Hilton Hotel once to drop off U2 tickets for the band (they were staying there) to hand out and I saw 3 of the band member’s in the reception waiting for their transport (NOT the train!) to take them to the venue (ANZ stadium though the name has changed now) for rehearsal – pretty cool hey! LOL!

OMG – look how much I wrote??? Hahaha! And to think I was going to have a go at LBJ and Moxie for suggesting I fill up the chat thread pages??? Oooop’s! LOL!

I know this is super late bam, but I’m sorry about my boy Yohio and all he had to endure. I hope he is all good now? I hate when one of MY bunny’s are having a hard time – sad face!

Oh and I had to laugh LBJ (SORRY!) – I bought a pair of pants in XS (extra small) cause that was the only size available and they started out at $24 reduced to half price and then a further 20% off – I think they ended up costing me $8??? Anyhow, once I ‘squeeze’ into them they hold my tummy in and ‘look’ great!!! Then I went to the loo and do you think I could get them off??? I almost wet my pants, hahaha! So reminder to myself not to drink (sit down or breath) while wearing NEW ‘cheap’ pants!

Thanks AH!! Yeah it is really nice to be able to go places on my own, even if I don’t have a car yet. The first thing I’m going to buy is clothes! I need some for summer Most of my paychecks I will transfer into my saving account, though. I’m saving for my senior trip (I don’t know if you saw my post about it) The only bad thing about the bus is that where I live, the most convenient bus runs only on weekdays, and the one that runs on weekends I have to walk for a while to get to :/ but my parents said they don’t mind driving me on weekends.

So Tessie…… you never did say what you did for your 21st??? Were you naughty??? LOL! My 21st was BORING big time – I had my daughter and my first house and I was trying to be mature and grown up – NO fun at all! BUT I made up for it when I was 30! (AND 40!) Hahahaha!

And I did get your messages when I couldn’t get on, thank you!!! I was torn between feeling bad (frustrated!) and for the first time in a long time feeling appreciated and missed. I have for whatever reason’s lost friendship’s over the years and this is the first time anyone made the effort to make me aware that I was missed (even if it’s because the chat thread is down on it’s quota, hahaha! SO funny!). And I am so sorry you all worried when Henry went missing – as I said before…. he’s such a naughty bunny AND I’m the worst bunny mum! LOL! I’ve lost stuff before, but I never thought I’d lose my BUNNY! It sounds so funny now, but let me assure you, it wasn’t funny at the time – DAM bunny!

So happy to see you back CT and I really hope it gets better for you all – I can only imagine how hard it is for you. I have been thinking of you and can’t wait till your settled and back on BB regularly again.

I miss every member when they go missing for a while which got me thinking where is Stickerbunny???

I didn’t get my own first car till I was 21 MK. I did get my driver’s license (what a funny/cheeky story behind that one! Lol!) at 17 but I used my mum’s and the kid’s father car till then to drive locally. And when I worked in the City and worked Saturday morning’s (I got Monday’s off) the trains ran by the hour too and I hated it. It got me to work at 8.10 am which was 50 minutes to early with nothing to do. So twice I caught the later train getting me to work 10 minutes late (NAUGHTY ME!) and I only got caught out the second (and LAST) time I did it – a concert went on sale for Sydney and I didn’t think someone from up here would be buying a ticket to travel down South for it – OOOOP’S!
I always worry when I share with you ‘young’ guys what I used to do – I don’t want any of you picking up my bad habits, lol! I didn’t even tell my kid’s some of the mischievous stuff I used to do till recently – I would be mortified if either of my kid’s tried to do some of the stuff I did. I once organised my hubby’s 30th birthday party by creating all the sign’s, invites and decorations on the floor behind the counter, hahaha! Customer’s just thought I was doing a new wall behind us advertising upcoming events and the one time my boss visited he must have thought the same – he never said a word??? GOSH! I think back and wonder how they never sacked me??? Lol!

OH and savings MK??? (are you SURE you guys ‘missed’ me??? Lol!). I encouraged (MADE) my kid’s save a lot of their income when they started working. I always worried if they had to much money they would be free to indulge in stuff they shouldn’t be at that age – so they had 2 bank accounts. The first $50 they earned went straight into their keycard/atm account for pocket money they could access and the rest went into a high interest earning saving’s account. My kid’s don’t seem to hate me for it (???) and I wish someone taught me about money the way I have tried with mine – I still have a mortgage and am paying for my new ‘chicken’ on credit – SAD face!

Blair is home and he has his iPad up loud and I asked him twice to turn it down – I should not be able to hear it from his lounge room all the way in the kitchen/family room! So being the mature person I am…. being on the computer posting on BB I opened up a new page and put on YouTube, plugged my speaker system in and turned it up loud and am playing my favourite song’s so he can’t hear….. You would think being 25yo he would have learned by now???

I know…. that is very childish of me, sorry! But the only thing I can stand LOUD is MY music! And I will win every time, hahaha! I don’t mind Blair chitter chatting ALL day, along with him singing to his music, etc., but it shouldn’t sound like he is right next to me! I always ask him nicely to turn it down the first time with the second being a threat that I will turn it off and the third being I do it! Then he comes and assures me he will keep it down and I give in and give it back to go through it ALL again! Today? Nup! I am going to drown out his music till he tells me to ‘turn it down’!
