2 days ago I got a 6 week old holland lop. I’ve been working on bonding her and my neutered male lionhead. He’s been a single rabbit for over a year now and so he’s very territorial. He hasn’t fought with her much but has nipped some and ran her off from food. I’ve been putting them in the bathtub to bond. He grooms her sometimes but I noticed earlier today he stuck his head under her chin asking to be groomed and when she didn’t groom him he nipped her. He also honks a lot at me when I shove him away from her when he nips. Today he started nipping me like he thought since he could push her around he could also do the same to me. He brought blood to the surface on my side through my clothes just because I was in his way. No nudge or anything just nipped me out of the blue. I would also like to add that I try really hard to put equal attention to them both. However I can’t help but feel like he’s jealous. But anyway, it’s not like he broke the skin or anything but it really hurt. My questions are, 1, if it hurts me through a t-shirt then will it hurt Ebony through her fuzzy baby hair? She’s really tiny and soft and I’m quite worried Checkers will hurt her. As I said before he doesn’t draw blood he just nips. 2nd, this nipping me is not gonna fly. I’m the dominant one in this bunny human relationship and I don’t want him thinking otherwise. How can I get him to stop?
