Hey all, about a week and a half ago we welcomed, Boris, a fawn flemish giant into our home. He is currently about 6 weeks old and seems to be doing great. He eats, drinks and poops like a machine and is curious, outgoing and interactive. He’s on a diet of unlimited alphalpha hay, unlimited pellets, fresh water, 15cc of kmr every night, and he also is getting a dose of bene-bac nightly for the first few weeks because of his age. He was litter trained the first day, and seems healthy with plenty of attitude. We’ve spent tons of time (at least 60+ hours) learning about rabbits in the last few weeks, but I’m stumped on his particular poop. 90%+ of it looks big and round and firm… A little darker than is optimal, but not jet black. I can see fiber in it.. It’s classic bunny poo. The other 10% however, is all kinds of weird. Some is teeny tiny, some have little tear drop tails, and some are a bit softer. Not soft like runny, or mushy, or ill-formed, they just have a little more give when you smoosh them. His poops have been like this since we got him. I check him multiple times a day for gas or bloat, and started brushing him nightly. Any thoughts?
