This morning, my two year old bunny Cadbury was very energetic and bouncy; she even did a few binkies. Before work I spent about an hour with her and didn’t come home until 5. Around that time, I found her lethargic and tired-looking; she wasn’t moving much. Cadbury also wouldn’t eat anything: timothy hay, a sliver of strawberry, parsley, a treat, nothing! It was only supposed to get to about 72 degrees today, but it ended up being around 79 degrees (stupid meteorologists!). I knew that she was overheated so I pulled out a frozen water bottle that I had on hand and misted her ears, which have since cooled down, although she still has no appetite and is lethargic.
She passed feces and urinated as normal today, and was drinking and eating this morning. Once again, Cadbury is 2 years old and is a spayed female Mini Lop. As far as I know, she’s not overweight. I would appreciate any help so much, as I’m really worried about her and I don’t want to lose her. I’m not sure what’s going to happen.
And BTW, I know that she desperately needs to visit a vet! Unfortunately, the only rabbit-saavy vet available in my area is only a regular clinic and will not be open until tomorrow. I’m also aware that this is an emergency situation, but I really have no other options for the next few hours.
Thank you in advance!
