  Hello, tomorrow my building will be testing all the fire alarms and I don’t know how much this will harm my bunny
  Should I take him to my friends house while this is happening? Or just let him sit in his cage?
  Could he lose hearing or have heart attack or will it just be a panick and then he’ll be better after?
  I am really worried so I’d appreciate any advice since I’ve never seen how my bun reacts to fire alarm. Although I do know he hates vaccums…

  House bunnies worldwide have to deal with fire alarms given that they’re kinda essential
  
  In my old student house the fire alarm went off a lot (maybe once a week) because everyone burnt their food all the time, and the actual alarm part was in my room so it was REALLY loud. But they’re still alive and kicking!

  I’ve never heard of a bunny having a heart attack because of loud music. Sounds to me like there is more to the story. Anyway, yes, a fire alarm can be scary, but the vast majority of bunnies do just fine with the ordeal. I’m sure mine don’t appreciate it when our alarm goes off (yes, I’ve burned things more than once). They get over it though.

  Just make sure he has a safe comfy place to hide where he can’t panic and hurt himself.

  I live across the street from a river front park. On the 4th of July, we watch the fireworks from my front stoop. Porky is right by a window facing them. So he’s listening to repeated large explosions for about a half hour. It doesn’t bug him.

  Our smoke alarm is right outside our bunny room. It goes off sometimes when we are cooking. They run in their hidey houses but they are fine. It’s not a plesant noise for anyone but it doesn’t last long so they are okay.

  My accommodation run the fire alarm for a few seconds every week and Mr Roger is fine. He was afraid and disgruntled during the few days they did official fire testing (with some sort of implement to be attached to the fire alarms), but the fire alarm for the whole building only went off a few times for very short periods.
  
  However, if the fire alarm does go off for a long time then their could be a problem. While this is purely anecdotal and could be false attribution, Mr Roger developed GI Statis shortly after a neighbouring flat set their fire alarm off (thus alarming ALL the flats in the building) for more than 15 minutes. We had to take him to the emergency vets and feed him hourly but he is fine now.
  
  He’s also recently got used to the sound of bursting bubble wrap and doesn’t even jump. I’m not usually in when the fire test occurs but it’s possible he’s not so stressed about it anymore and recovers more quickly.

  i’ve set the smoke alarm off the odd time.. dog gets more upset than bun
