  After some waffling, I dragged my boyfriend back to the adoption center today and we spent about 2 hours trying to get the bunny. And we succeeded!! He is currently settling down in his new cage at home, I am resisting the urge to bother him every two seconds so he can find some peace and quiet.
  
  Pippin is now confined to his own cage, and the slow acclimation-to-bonding road is begun! He keeps looking over at the other cage, but it’s several feet away, so I don’t think he is sure what is going on yet.
  
  Haven’t got any photos of the new bun (name still undecided–trying to fit with my hobbit-themed names, possibly going with Bilbo or Brandybuck) at home, but I did take some at the center. He is a Harlequin mix, ~2 years old and somewhere between 4 and 5 lbs. Very friendly and sweet!

  I got to spend some time with him this afternoon. He’s a little unsure about me, but in general seems to be friendly and inquisitive. He found the pocket where the raisins were fast enough! Still no name…tried Bilbo on but ended up not suiting him, so ehhhh. About to go research Hobbit names (again!) until I find one!!

  You could name him Odo! (Odo Proudfoot)
  It works out great, because not only is it a LotR reference, it’s StarTrek, too! He’s so cute, and he looks like he’s the type that will “melt” once he runs out of energy.

  Thanks, everyone! I am glad you all appreciate the powerful cuteness of my newest guy. I can already tell he is going to be spoiled rotten!
  
  Haha, I have considered both Legolas and Odo, actually!
  
  And the current frontrunner is, in fact, Fíli. We shall see if it stick, I’m still kind of mentally set on a Hobbit name.

  JR: He wasn’t referred to as the hot dwarf. hehe but he is referred as a bit taller than the others and handsome one… although to me fili is more adorable (if I had to choose between the brothers)

  “Hot” and “dwarf” are not normally two words I would think of being used together. Unless said dwarf was I’m a volcano or something lol

  Brunosmama: yeah my thoughts exactly… I mean, I am not going all dwarf-ist or racist, but I didn’t think “hot” and “dwarf” could go well together at least not in the fiction world. But yes I gotta admit, He did score by winning that she-elf’s(Tauriel) heart.

  That’s not a dwarf! Is he a cross breed? Lol Sorry, I have seen the 3 LoTR, but not the Hobbit movies.

  I’m staying out of this naming war, I’ve seen LoTR but I can’t remember anyone’s names except Legolas, Aragorn and Frodo. I do like the sound of Brandybuck.

  I have seen all the LOTR AND 2 HOBBITS movie…multiple times …..just the last one only to watch and I am a huge fan of those movies. Have all 3 LOTR books. Just not the Hobbits yet

  I had to travel for work this week so I didn’t get to spend much time with him…now he is getting some time to explore the living room, and he is zooming about and doing binkies!! Ahhhh it’s so great!!!
