My current rabbit, a 1 year old Holland lop, lives in my bedroom, he roams freely during the day, and is put in his condo at night (he could totally leave my room during the day, but he hates the hardwood). The other rabbit is a rescued baby at 8 weeks old I presume the baby is a girl, but haven’t gone to a vet to confirm.
The issue is space, the only place I can put the new rabbit is in another condo in my bedroom. Currently the baby is in a pen in the kitchen, and blocking off access to lots of stuff. I stupidly tried to bond them so that I could hopefully have the baby in my room no problem. But after looking into I see that it is best to wait until the other rabbit is fixed.
What I was thinking of doing is putting the condo and the baby in my room (like planned) but pinning off an area around the condo so that I can prevent any bad relation happening before I can properly bond them. I’m worried my current boy is going to get territorial and that future bonding won’t turn out so great.
I really don’t have anywhere else to put the baby. The kitchen can get a bit loud and I don’t want to terribly frighten the little baby! If anyone could offer advie please!
I’m at my wit’s end
