  my bunny will not use the litter box inside her cage except to piddle during the night. She is allowed out early in the morning and will run about 15 feet to the outside litter box to pellet. Is this normal? Can it be hurting her to hold her pellets?

  Sounds to me like she might be marking her territory. Does she ever go in the box?
