Hi!!!!
This is my first time starting a topic! Finally figured out how with the help of BB. Thanks!
Okay, lets get to the point. Does anyone know if you can bond two unspayed female rabbits? I want to bond Lola and Socks, they are mother and daughter. They have been around eachother quite often. when I let them out to play, there exercise pens are right beside one another. And quite often they will groom each other through the bars. They are both going to be spayed someday. But do you know if you can bond them before that?
Any comments would be helpful! THANKS!!
Hello there, most of us really don’t recommend bonding before the spays. You’d have better luck with a girl and a boy, and by better luck I mean the chances are still dismal. Bonding two unspayed girls is a very easy way to get one or both of them injured. They’ll be territorial and they will definitely fight. But the outlook for two spayed girls to bond is pretty good! Really don’t recommend even giving it a shot now though, fighting is usually pretty immediate and girls really go at it. Hope others come in. Best of luck!
