Is there no other room he could be in where others won’t need to go? Unless he’s a super laid back bunny, I would guess the noise and strange people are really going to scare him. Is there another room your cousin could be in other than your room? I don’t know why your cousin must be in your room, but if your cousin can’t be around the other people, can you trust him in the room alone with your bunny?

As soon as Henry hears the word ‘party’, he’s outa here! He goes straight under our bed and won’t come out till the last guest leaves. Hey, if he thought we’d leave too, he’d wait for that as well – dam bunny! Lol!
BUT we do make our bedroom out of bounds – no one is allowed! Just like a child or any other pet…. if they aren’t up for company/intruder’s, why would/should Henry be any different? We respect that, our bedroom is his while we entertain and our bedroom is a no guest zone.

Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful, but I honestly have no other suggestion based on our experience and living arrangements with our bunny.

PS – And do you trust kid’s??? When I was a kid I got bitten by a Cockatoo (I still have the scar, ha ha ha!), cause I kept poking my finger in – I couldn’t help myself! Lol! That Cockatoo taught me – not!
Yep! Just looking at my finger, I can still see the scar! Ha ha ha ha! Luckily he was in a huge cage and I was only able to bother him.
By the way, I hate that I did that – but that’s what some kid’s do……

I guess I’ve never really thought about it. We couldn’t have anyone over at our house anyway (the toilet is where?!). But even if we could, I don’t think the rabbits would be bothered. I mean, the Fourth of July is pretty uneventful around here. There are tons of loud fireworks going off everywhere, but Leopold doesn’t react because he can’t hear them. This keeps Wooly calm because he sees Leopold is calm. Neither one is afraid of strangers. They will approach anyone. o_O

I do think what you have proposed is a good solution though.

My bunnies, well the lops anyway, would be terrified with a party going on. Kieko would be intrigued! We don’t allow anyone in the bunny room without one of us there. Even with me in the xpen, Moshi will run and hide and Marlee will stand behind me and thump. They just get too scared with strangers around.

Kieko on the other hand will jump in her litterbox and observe for a few minutes. If the strangers don’t eat us then they must be investigated. She’ll lunge on their direction a couple of times to let them know she’s a big bad 3 lb bunny, and then expects ear rubs.

JR Kieko sounds too funny! I was on a date recently, and we both agreed that it seems like the smaller the animal, the more of a Napoleon complex they seem to have! I haven’t really had much company over with Cinder around, but she’s usually just fine hanging out in her cage.

I think your bedroom is a good idea too. That’s what we did over Thanksgiving (17 people in the house!). Plus you can give all the rules in the world to kids, but I personally wouldn’t trust them without my supervision. But I’m super paranoid! I told my 32 year brother not to pick up the bunny at least 10 times and he tried anyway! I think the quieter, less trafficky area would make your bunny the happiest!
