So my rabbit went to the vet today for an eye infection. She stained both eyes to check for abrasions and he didn’t have any, but he has minor conjunctivitis in his left eye. She gave me vetropolycin (without HC) to put in his eye twice a day. He doesn’t fight me and lets me open his eye but I don’t know if I’m doing it right??? It doesn’t really rub onto the eyeball, the best I can do is gently rub it on the rim of his eyes. Will it still be effective???
She said if it doesn’t clear up in 2 weeks to bring him back for sedation and xrays because then it might be something with overgrown tooth roots (ugh, I hope NOT more tooth problems!!!).
He is acting fine though, like nothing is wrong. But he always acts like nothing is wrong when it IS!!! Like went he broke his incisors 3x (pretty sure on purpose) and just went back to eating while I had a meltdown.
He is so tough and I’m such a paranoid worried bunny mom D:
