So we brought Theo home today (literally less than half an hour ago
– yes, pictures to follow, but I thought I’d let him settle in before I stuck a camera in his face ) and the way we have things set up is the boys are (obviously) in separate areas, with a pen in between for playtime (we’re still reorganising the living room from christmas and taking out all the non-bunny-friendly things that they’re guaranteed to want to play with). Currently, Theo is settling in in his space and Puck is out having playtime, and they both seem very interested in each other – especially Puck! He’s been running up and down the fence I set up so that they can’t get at each other, and quite a few times he seems to… kind of bunloaf? facing Theo, right up against the fence so his nose is poking through. Puck seems to be excited, but – unless I’m really not reading him well
– he doesn’t seem upset or stressed, just interested. Theo also seems interested, but in a much calmer manner, he was sat in the corner of his crate having a wash right next to where Puck was sitting… which is good, right? 
They were also sat in more or less the same spot having food quite happily and no one seems to be thumping or sulking, so is this a good sign? Or is it all irrelevant because Theo’s still feeling out the place and they haven’t had a chance to get at each other?Ps. I’m quite excited, can you tell?

What you’re describing sounds like Puck is asking for grooming, which is potentially a good sign, assuming Theo is willing to do it, hahaha!While they’re both just settling in it’s probably hard to tell what they’re really thinking. But having said that, I think when I first brought in a new bun, my girl Luna was aggressive towards the newbie more or less straight away so it’s probably looking hopeful!

PS I know I’m supposed to leave him alone for a while when I first bring him home, but I was switching out the carrier which he kept jumping on and had lost his footing once or twice for a cardboard box that he can jump on and off to his heart’s content and he lolloped on over for some attention!

Ok, quick question: I know I should give him some time to settle in, but if he’s actively seeking out attention, should I give him attention? Or should I still keep my distance until he’s had time to settle in? I mean, I would have thought that if he’s trying to solicite attention and some fuss, then within reason it would probably be harmless, as long as he can have space if he wants it… But I’m not a bunny expert
Puck didn’t want a whole lot of attention when he first got here, he was happy with me sitting outside the pen and talking to him for the first couple of days, but Theo has been begging for attention pretty much constantly since about half an hour after he got here. Should I get in and give him cuddles, or should I still leave him be?
