My 15 year old daughter and I were at the mall on Sunday when we passed the pet store. I’m not a pet store person and kept walking…she did not. When I realized she wasn’t with me anymore I went back to see what she was looking at. Then I saw what I thought was the cutest little bunny ever. Before I knew it, we were buying a new bunny…I don’t know anything about bunnies!!

 The guy at the pet shop showed me everything I needed…haha. When we got to the cages he tried to convince me that the largest cage was going to be big enough for my bunny. It looked so small……..I just knew I couldn’t put her in it.

I told him I was going to pass on the cage because I had a large dog kennel at home and I would keep her there until I found her a space that was just right for her.

After we got home and I had her set up for the night in my daughters bedroom, I jumped on google and searched “make rabbit house”…..That’s when I found the gold! This fourm is wonderful!!! I have spent hours, days….even stayed up till the wee hours of the morning reading through every post.

I have been gathering all the supplies to build a nic cage….she will be out of the dog kennel by this weekend.

I have learned how to bond with my bunny.

I’ve learned how to litter train.

I now know what’s safe to feed her, and what not to feed her.

I have even made a few homemade toys for her, and have purchased some “forum approved” bunny toys from Pet Smart.

So a BIG THANK YOU to everyone…I think I will be able to give my bunny a very happy home!!
