Hi I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on this type of pairing & if anyone has any similar experiences . I have a 7 month old male (Sampras) who is getting neutered in 2 weeks & I would like to get him a friend because I feel he’s very lonely, however the rescues near me only do cats & dogs no small animals so I’d have to buy him a friend & she’d probably be quite young then & couldn’t get spayed until she’s much older (6 months??). Would they be ok to bond or would it be very difficult? Also due to space issues I wouldn’t have room for two pens/condos so the new bunny would have to stay in a smaller cage (with free range time) until they were bonded & then move into Sampras’s pen/condo.
I feel incredibly guilty about him living alone because my boyfriend & I both work full time (9-5) & then in the evening he has lots of paper work to do & I’m doing night study so we don’t get to spend as much time with Sampras as we’d like & he adore snuggles & company so much, he has a teddy bear he snuggles with & grooms so I think he’d love a friend
Also how long should I wait after getting a male neutered before I can introduce a female, I’ve read everything from 2 weeks to 15 weeks, thanks very much
