As I’ve already mentioned, my SO and I are planning to get a friend for Puck as he’s having to spend more time alone than we’d like, since we’ve had to take on more hours at work. I don’t have the option of adopting where I am, so I don’t have the choice of taking Puck to meet potential friends and let him choose, however, both places we’re considering getting a friend for him from have said that if they really won’t get on, we can try someone different until we find a match that works for the two of them.
I’m aware that bonding generally works much better when both individuals are neutered, but I can’t afford to spay multiple girls (it’s not exactly cheap) so is it possible to get an idea of if they’ll get on from how they behave before their hormones kick in? At 6 months Puck’s not exactly old, but will he get frustrated with a “baby”? Would it be better to get an older girl?
Sorry if I’m rambling too much, I hope this makes sense x_x
