I’ve found that you can usually get them to like you quickly if you give them lots of attention, and mean it! Lie down on the floor, gently stroke their ears, rub their forehead, try to make them do the happy teeth-grinding. This sounds weird, but it helps if you’re enjoying it too, because they can sense that. Like you know when you’re cuddling with an animal and it feels good for both of you because, I don’t know, maybe your head fits so comfortably into the crook of their neck or something? And you can tell that you both are just loving it (Ugh, this sounds so weird hahaha)? That’s what you want when you’re trying to get a rabbit to like you. You want to be in a comfortable position and perfectly relaxed. I feel like they can tell if you’re not enjoying giving them attention because you’re stiff or something. When I got my older Dutch, it took a month or so because he was my first rabbit and I didn’t know anything. I would just stroke his forehead and rub his nose. We had a slow start. But it took my New Zealand like a day because I knew all the tricks by then!
