Hello everyone!
Since it has become very cold on the northeast I have turned on my space heater within my room, and the heat is on in the house as well. My room is very warm since I have insulated the windows and have an elevated space heater on my desk.
In the last week or so I began to see little flies around, they look like fruit flies but aren’t hovering around anything in particular like my tea cups or anything, rather they are on my ceiling above my bed and above the bunny cage.
I began to be nervous for my buns as I thought of the potential breeding area in a warm room and a damp litter box. I checked my boy’s bum and things seem to be fine but when I checked my Sophia I saw something I’m not sure what to make of.
Around her vaginal area, there are clumps of what looks like dark red/ brown ..something. I was able to peel it all off from one side and it seems to be the consistency of dried blood or a scab. On the other side, it looked more like dried blood and a little bit bubbly and I did not try to pick at it or cause her any more stress.
This is a picture.

Sophie is 5 years old, was spayed at 1 year old. She has been acting normally, running around, grooming, eating, drinking, pooping.

I thoroughly cleaned out their cage and litter box and have managed to kill nearly all of the flies.
Should I be worried? I can get her to the vet on friday or saturday if needed.
Thank you!!
