I still don’t think that I would. part of the reason why I love rabbits are because when your not home you know where they are. (to any free range animale lovers out there – great. I love cats and dogs too. and if it works for you then I couldn’t be happier).
even with a baby gate things don’t always work out. I had a rabbit named snowball that would jump over them and jump over pieces of cardboard thigh high.

Yeah. That’s a tough one. Lots of people seem to manage it, but I can’t take my eyes off my fella because he always comes up with SOMTHING to get into…unless the room is close to empty

I have 3 single buns at the moment. I’m hoping to bond at least 2 of them soon, but the way we roll around here is… the oldest bun who was here first is free-roam whenever the other 2 are not having floor time. Many times when they are all sleeping he’ll put himself in his “room”, or sometimes he sleeps next to one of the other rabbits on the opposite side of the pen. Sometimes he sleeps in the middle of the floor, and we have to be careful when coming through at night so we don’t accidentally kick him.

I definitely think it would depend on the rabbit. Out of my three, I think two -could- be free-roam all the time, unfortunately they don’t like each other… at least for now!

I would say expect some loose poos initially, and you may find she wants to potty in a new corner, so you may need to get another litterbox. I do have one community box that everyone likes to use when they are out, and I had to place it in that spot because it is right beside one of the rabbit’s pen, so everytime the other 2 are out, they have to go make that area smell like them. Constant power struggle around here. Ugh.

Don’t be surprised if you still often find her chillin out in her caged area, that’s like her bedroom!
