Hi everyone! My bunny, Miley, just got spayed 4 days ago. She is over a year old. The main reason I got her spayed (other than the health benefits) was because she was acting suddenly crazy and was chewing everything. She was constantly scratching at the bottom of her cage and food bowl (knocking all the food out as she dug in it) and so on. It was just a sudden and dramatic behavior change. This happened around the time she started pulling out her hair in small tufts (false pregnancy). So I said, let’s get her spayed. So I did. And it’s been 4 days, which I know it takes weeks for the hormones to dissipate.. But she literally chewed her litter box in half and has pulled out LARGE portions of hair since her surgery.. It’s almost scary how much hair Shes pulled out. I’m hoping this is just a result of being stressed from surgery? I gave her all her pain meds and everything… Ugh I’m just worried about her. And it’s difficult to take care of a rabbit who is so unruly, but I know it isn’t her fault and I still love her obviously. :/ can anyone help? Sorry this message is so long!!!!
