Meki chins me all the time but it’s usually after I stop petting her, haha. Our nights usually go with me petting her nose and cheeks (she looovveessss that), stopping, her shoving her head as far under my knee or hand as possible, and if I’m still not petting her she chins my knee, and hops away as if to say “You are useful to me and I will keep you for later pets.”

I don’t own a rabbit, a rabbit owns me.

Unfortunately I have no advice on adopting an older bunny and bonding since the two rabbits I’ve had in my life were babes when I got them

i love how my rabbit chins thing, it really amuses me, its the second thing I look forward to after binkies. but sadly no, she only chins objects and not me ;(

I love when Philomena and I go home for school breaks and she starts chinning everything again

“I leave for three weeks and this place already smells like cat and dog and human. Now I have to go around reclaiming everything…”

She gets so annoyed. Its hysterical. Sometimes she will get so into chinning everything that she will chin the dog too.

*chins dog* “And don’t you forget it!” *hops away*

I feel very loved when I get chinned. Bindi chins me very often. He loves his Mama. Olivia is more of an object chinner. She owns everything in the living room.

The only time Peter ever came close to chinning anything was when he was about a month old–he found my husbands shoe for the first time and rubbed his face on it. Since then there has been no chinning. If he claims something as his it’s by nibbling it or (if small enough) picking it up and slamming it on the ground. I found he’ll also scrape his teeth into furniture that he thinks is his if we move it more than about a quarter inch for vacuuming/cleaning. (I have had his teeth checked to make sure he had no issues… nope. just making graffiti.)
