Moshu is experiencing gut hypo motility since last night. She is getting better though. Her abdomen was tight but we fed her some water, simethicone, wet herbs, hand fed her hay and a home made mix of ground hay + tannin stuff + apple puree (JerseyGirl told me about it sometime back ).

I was wondering if this has anything to do with Enrofloxacin. Even if Enrofloxacin is not causing it, is it safe to give her (25 mg per day ), now that she is experiencing gut hypo motility ? She was prescribed Enro for UTI. As of now, I see no signs of UTI in her anymore.. except for the fact that she is lying down all day except for a few active hours after 9 pm. Poop, urine, appetite, thirst, urine scald, everything seems to be normal.

So far, she has had 17 doses of Enrofloxacin. Its quite difficult to give her medicines, so the last one was given after a gap of 3 days (was the gap too long to hinder the process of treatment ? ) She just wasnt taking any of it.. *sigh*

Since I dont know if antibiotic and gut hypo motility together would make a good combination, I wont give her today’s dose. I dont want her to get worse.
