Right now he is on a mix of romaine lettuce (this is the majority of his veggies), spinach, baby kale, and something else that I can’t quite remember off the top of my head. Once a week he also gets some bunny safe herbs that I grow back at school (parsley, mint, etc.). Hopefully this will be enough to convince my mom to back off of the carrots!
I have looked everywhere for carrot tops but can’t seem to find them! Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks so much!
Hey!
So, spinach and parsley are quite high in oxalic acid, so you will probably want to either eliminate both from the daily diet, or cut it down significantly, and replace it with another green. Kale is also high in calcium, which is another thing you will want to cut down on. And yes, you will want to back off on carrots a lot, too.
Carrot tops can be found on large carrots in most vegetable sections of most grocery stores. You can use the carrots yourself for meals and things, and then just cut the green tops off and give them to bunny.
