  I woke up this morning to find out that my dad gave mushroom stalks to Moshu… I dont know how to express my anger and resentment at this point of time. I have pleaded my family members to confirm from me before they give anything to Moshu.. But they have fed her excessive kohlrabi, string beans, they peel onions an leave its skin on the floor for a while – by the time she chews some of them. All this happens in my absence. And today, they fed her mushrooms. I am told she did not eat them. I dont think she ate any of it either, at max she must have nibbled some of it but did not eat any.
  
  My vet is out of town and I cannot connect to her. Moshu seems to be okay for now. She ate her rabbit food and is laying down on her. I picked her up and cuddled with her and she licked me like she always does..
  
  Is a bit of nibbling on mushrooms a slow poison for bunnies ? Anyone had similar experience ?
  
  I worked hard for her recovery from her illness and I dont want to lose her to this stupid thing.

  No, mushrooms are not a problem…it’s not something you should feed them but a little will be fine. It’s not really a matter of toxins more of a matter of upsetting the gut.

  If they are mushrooms you can eat, then I wouldn’t be too worried. As Sarita suggested, a small amount may upset her stomach. They aren’t good for them to eat though.
  I think most of the concern with mushrooms is that some produce mycotoxins, so the general recommendation is that it is better to be safe by avoiding mushrooms of any kind altogether. Plus we don’t always know if something that is safe for humans is also safe for rabbits.

  I am relieved to know that the toxins arent really the lethal sort. I had my eyes glued on her all day today just to notice if there any changes I can make out.
  They were white button mushrooms. Her poop size is small today and her stomach feels a bit bloated, maybe that is the outcome of her small nibbles.
  
  I would never feed her anything if I read that its not good for them, but my dad forgot..

  There are definitely mushrooms that are potentially lethal. Different kinds contain different mycotoxins and different amounts.

  I gave my dad a good lecture so hopefully I wont see mushrooms on her plate ever again. Moshu is eating and pooping well. Saw nothing different in her apart from some aggression and biting the night she nibbled on those mushrooms (but that must be her hormones). She is her usual self.
